We spent a lovely day at McLaren Vale North with trail hopper - our very enthusiastic driver shared lots of interesting information throughout the day - the guidance in the information package was useful regarding tasting prices & bookings - now we want to try one of the other tours 😀

We had so much fun doing the Hahndorf hop on hop off wine tour with TrailHopper we decided to do it all again on their Barossa Valley hop-on hop-off wine tour! This time we book the all inclusive package which was absolutely worth it!
From start to finish it was so easy and stress-free. The flexibility to hop on and off at different wineries meant we could take our time, enjoy tastings, have lunch, and really soak up everything the Barossa has to offer without worrying about tasting fees, lunch or planning logistics, just a relaxed day of amazing wines, beautiful scenery, and good vibes. Dean was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly.

We had a great day in the McClaren Vale with Dean, our driver. The area is beautiful, and it was so nice to be able to taste wines and not worry about driving. Dean was friendly, engaging, and helpful. We visited Oliver’s Taranto (very good and pretty winery), then elected to spend 2 hours at Molly Dooker so we could have lunch, and we absolutely loved it there. Last was Hugh Hamilton Wines, also very good. I wish we had been in Adelaide longer so we could go to the Barossa! Definitely recommend.

Our driver, Bronny (I hope I spelled this correctly!) was very informative and offered several recommendations across the day. Enjoyed some amazing wine at Kaesler, Yalumba, Rusden, and more.

A convenient way to visit some excellent wineries Our driver Dean made this a wonderful way to tour and taste at four different wineries in the McLaren Vale with his humorous and hospitable commentary. We reserved the tastings in advance at all four wineries 🍷 and were able to attend all without too much of a rush. Advise making reservations for 3 or 4 tastings following the guidance of tour information. Visited Angove, Maxwell, Mollydooker, and Chapel Hill wineries.

I find it is one of the easiest ways to see one of Adelaide's major wine regions without being locked into a large group of strangers and without spending and arm & leg.
I have done about six tours now and each one has been fantastic. The drivers are always so jovial and knowledgeable, the buses clean & comfortable and locations beautiful. I strongly recommend for any small group wanting to try some of Adelaide's best wineries, but without requiring a deso.

Did the winery tour with TrailHopper and honestly had the best time. Everything was well organised, easy to follow, and totally stress-free (aka the dream when wine is involved). Our driver, Lorry, absolutely made the day — hilarious, friendly, and made us laugh whole day. Great vibes, great wine, zero effort required. Would 100% do this again.

Lovely trip We had a lovely tour guide Yvette for our trail hopper driver on the 8 of February. She was very knowledgeable and the tours we did were great. Enjoyed our time well.

Super fun just do it Awesome tour and so easy. I did the Adelaide hills one day and booked in the next day to do the Mclaren Vale north tour .Tours have many options and easy to navigate your away around with all the info.Alot of the wineries look after you trailhopper and often got a few extra wines on tasting.The drivers are very informative well done Laurie and Nathan.Cherie in the office was awesome too hooking us up on short notice. Highly recommend so much fun. Tip work out your lunch winery and work it from there.

Brilliant day out and the winery recommendations were amazing. Big shout out to Dean our bus driver, his knowledge of the history of Adelaide and the wineries was unbelievable and it made this much more than just a standard hop on hop on bus tour. Really enjoyed our tour of the Barossa vineyards with Yvette. She is a very knowledgeable and cheerful guide, and a careful driver. Remember to plan your stops and book your tastings before you depart on the tour.

Tour was a 10/10. Visited the Adelaide hills wineries and Hahndorf. Enough time to spend at 3 wineries to do tasting at each and eat a full lunch at the final stop. I love that you can customise the itinerary to suit your atmosphere and wine taste. Dean was an amazing bus driver - very polite and informative. Definitely brought the vibes to the tour!

Brett, our driver, was amazing and made our day in McLaren Vale run so smoothly. My 9-year-old son was with us and he also had recommendations for kid friendly vineyards to visit.

We had to re-plan our wine tour last minute as another operator had bailed on us, and Trailhopper stepped right in! I contacted them via WhatsApp at 8h40, and by 10 am we were cheerfully welcomed by Lorry on the bus! He gave an excellent speech of all the wineries we would be passing, which really helped for our last minute decision making. Will definitely count on them again for future wine tours!

Totally worth it The tour was great! So well run and organised. We got to have a beautiful long lunch with two wine tastings on either side. Dean was such a great tour guide really knowledgeable, friendly and funny to boot!

Excellent! The tour worked really well for us. We booked the tour and then 4 wineries. You need to be organised and read the trail info and program. Some people hadn’t booked wineries and I think they managed to get tastings. Laurie was very efficient, entertaining and clear - he runs thd journey like clockwork and he needs to - otherwise it would be a nightmare. We went to Smith and Shaw, nepenthe ( fav) with platter, bird in hand and sideways. All the wineries were really good. A great day out. Great and clear communication and highly recommended. Vg value for money.

Great Tour Excellent guide who gave us great advice on where to stop. We had a beautiful day and sampled some great wine and food. Fav was Yalumpa, such a beautiful property. And the food a Saltram was excellent as well

Highly recommend these tours! We done both Barossa and Adelaide Hills over 2 days.
I chose Trailhopper above all the other options I researched, as I wanted choice and flexibility on where to go, but also a knowledgeable driver to facilitate that, and not pay a fortune.
These guys are extremely organised, friendly and professional. Very good knowledge on the areas as well. Cant recommend them enough.

My partner and I did a TrailHopper tour of the Barossa. The driver was great and very friendly and the tour was a useful way to see different spots in the Barossa. Unfortunately lots of businesses were closed in the town centres due to the heatwave which I recognise is outside of the company’s control, however I was surprised to see various businesses (e.g. ice cream store, coffee roasters and pizza restaurant) listed on the company’s itinerary under the Provenance Barossa location being closed and opening at 5:30pm when the tours operate only during the day; this seems like false advertising and was a key reason why we decided to get off the bus at this stop. Maggie Beer’s shop was also only included as a late afternoon stop meaning a lunch booking was not possible there which would have been a value add.

Add Hahndorf to your list. Lots of food options and quirky shops. Definitely worth a visit. Easy commute from the city ($35 uber). Lots of shaded seating on the footpaths which was great on a 41 degree day.

This was my second trip with TrailHopper in the Barossa Valley and it was another amazing experience! Nath was a very warm, knowledgeable and accommodating host and driver for the day. This is the best way to explore the Barossa for those based in Adelaide CBD!

A great, stress free way to visit some of the beautiful Adelaide Hills wineries. The tour is very well organised with a good choice of different wineries to visit. It was so much easier than driving around under your own steam. Bronnie was not only a good driver, she was a good, informative host. Would certainly use the service to visit another wine region next time.

This is an excellent way to go to the wineries you want to without the hassle of organising the transport. There were only five of us in the minibus so plenty of space. I visited three wineries and Hahndorf and never felt rushed for time. Yvette was an excellent driver and great guide. Hahndorf on a Sunday before Christmas was a bit crowded but still fun to do. I did book two wine tastings ahead of the trip but had no problem adding a third when I arrived there. Probably safest to book all and it helps you plan your best itinerary.

Spent 2 days visiting the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley wineries. The visits were delicious, and our driver and guide on both destinations, Bronwen, kept a tight schedule, so there was no waiting round. Bronwen was full of useful information and gave us great info about the backgrounds of each of the wineries on the itinerary. We had a fantastic 2 days and would highly recommend Trailhopper Tours

We had the most amazing experience exploring the vineyards with TrailHopper! From start to finish, the day was seamless, fun, and so well organised. A huge shout out to our incredible bus driver, Nathan, honestly one of the best guides we’ve ever had.

Not only did he get us around safely and on time, but he’s also a history teacher and an absolute wealth of knowledge. He shared the facts, stories, and local insights throughout the day, which made the whole experience even more special. His personality, humour, and passion for the region added so much to the tour and really elevated our day.

What a great day! Our driver Bronny was fantastic and provided a good level of guidance and fun facts. The option to select our own playlist made it fun and the wineries on the list were a really good variety and perfect introduction to this wine region.

The tour was as advertised and ran perfectly to a tight schedule. Bronnie our guide was friendly and informative and keen for everyone to have a good time. She was well informed about all the vineyards en route. I liked that there were options other than vinyards to add some variety to the tour. Tanunda was a nice town to wander around with some lovely cafes. I can't comment on the wine as I'm not a wine drinker but we had a delicious (and well priced) meal at Saltrams. Good day all round.

I cannot stop raving about Trailhopper to anyone who will listen. I was flying solo over the weekend in Adelaide and wanted to explore the Adelaide Hills and came across Trailhopper. The guidance of the tour driver (shout out to Lorrie and Dean!), the lovely company of the other passengers and the great selection of wineries to explore make the day incredibly enjoyable. The hop on hop off route is seamless and enables you to choose your own adventure with ease. The wineries were all incredibly welcoming and provided a great tasting experience. Last Saturday I went on my second hopper and like the first it was great. I was a bit better prepared which i definitely recommend. Will I go again, absolutely!

Simply Brilliant!! We had an absolutely fantastic day. Nate was a brilliant tour guide with heaps of great info about the area and the local wineries. We did a fully guided tour of the Barossa a couple of days earlier and would definitely recommend the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour of Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills to do it "Your Way".

Our 'private' tour with Nathan I'm not sure where to start, because we had such a great day. We received clear and properly frequent communication from Cherie, and we received outstanding guidance, narrative and suggestions from Nathan during our tour. We were the only customers on a Thursday in September, so he made some changes to our trip that added to the day. We booked our tastings as suggested, but we kept part of our afternoon free. Nathan made some recommendations that were spot on for our tastes. For those who care, we booked a tasting and lunch at Lambert Estate. The wines were good and the food was great - it's a strong recommend. Our next stop was historic Yalumba, and our last stop was at Kaesler, thanks to Nathan. I would strongly recommend using Trail Hopper!

Brett took us on an amazing day trip to McLaren Vale. It was great to have the freedom to choose our own stops along the way, and Brett gave us top-tier suggestions based on our wine preferences. With his guidance we came across a few drops that I’ll never forget.

We did the Trail Hopper bus tour to the Barossa and had such a great experience.
