Do it before they are gone We didnt think it was ever going to happen after 3 cancelled flights due to weather conditions we finally got up in the air. So worth the experience. You just have to be patient with mother nature, thank you Justin and partner for sharing your world with us.

Cancelled multiple times due to weather concerns. Completely understandable, but the way you're spoken to was atrocious. Please work on your customer service.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE Wow what an experience for someone who is scared of heights. My Hubby brought me a voucher for my 71st bd and it has taken me 3yrs to build up courage to do the Balloon Ride . Well it was fantastic and there were 16 of us on the flight. The staff were absolutely amazing and if you ever get the opportunity to do it you will not be disappointed. The view was absolutely great. I think I'd do it again and not wait so long before doing it.

First Timers My Dad, my Daughter and myself all had our first experience Hot Air Balloning with Justin and crew. Great experience from start to finish. Was so cool to see how the balloon got filled up to how it got packed away. Amazing views from above. Finished off with a yummy breakfast. Tick that off my bucket list ✔️

Floating over the Murray River at dawn A fabulous glide over the Murray river moving up and down in air streams with a very skilled and experienced balloonist pilate. The early start was absolutely worth it. There was a moment when we thought the wind would prohibit the flight, then at dawn, it settled and we soared. One for the bucket list. It was incredible. We have become balloonatics!

An amazing day. Yes it’s a bloody early start, but so worth it! Tips for people with limited time, buy a ticket that can be refunded rather than a voucher in case the weather is not right for ballooning. The emails to help you prepare for any changeable eventualities, have all the information you need so take the time to read them once you’re booked. Relax and enjoy the ride, you’ll be in good hands. PS the breakfast featuring local produce is delicious and you will need it after the early start!

Do not buy a voucher - book direct I bought a voucher for my partner, and the day we booked the wind was too strong to fly. We still went out and attempted to launch in hope that the wind might drop out, however it didn’t.

We don’t live in SA, and the next available slot was more than a week away, so we couldn’t come back and try again. If you book direct they refund you if it is cancelled due to weather, but if you use a voucher it is not refunded and you lose everything. Not to mention travel and accommodation expenses. Of course there is no guarantee it will go ahead as it’s completely weather depended, but vouchers are a scam so beware when booking.

It’s hard to give it a rating as we didn’t go up.
We got up at 3.30 and drove there as requested for 5am. Spent 1.5 hours there driving around trying to find the right spot to launch with the weather etc. Then we were told that it wasn’t the right weather to go up.
I get that this is totally dependent on weather but the operators then told me only 1/3 go up?
The whole unsuccessful attempt took 6 hours of our day for nothing?
It just seems like a poor business model.
If they told you when you booked to be on stand bye for the day it would be a much better idea. Scrap the sunrise component and just give us an alert when the conditions are ok to go up.
Then you’re not driving there for no reason and wasting a lot of peoples time.
The rest of the day after the morning was magnificent and we would have gladly done a lunch ride as opposed to nothing.
The operator told me one couple drove up 11 times before they went on the ride

Great Experience It was everything I had expected. The company is completely professional and I was sure that safety was top priority.
For me the initial lift off was the highlight, along with the silence at 2000 feet (in between bursts of flame).
One other passenger who normally experienced a fear of heights said she was surprised that she did not experience this during the balloon flight.
We did have one hiccup, in that the field in which we landed had a locked gate and the farmer could not be located to unlock it. Never-mind, we got back in time for breakfast anyway.

One experience ticked off my Bucket List Totally awesome experience to tick off my bucket list. Very professional company and friendly staff. The flight over the River Murray was very peaceful and relaxing and I enjoyed every minute. The cooked champagne breakfast topped off a very enjoyable day. Highly recommended

Glad to be back on the ground A very dangerous operator . It is only a matter of time before they seriously injure someone. He doesn't maintain the 500 feet over built up areas and flies near powerlines crossing the murray. They don't even support the town of blanchetown that we flew over just exploit it with dangerous practices . I feel for the people there that have to endure this noisy experience. Never again. Look for safer operators.

20th Balloon Experience Great experience to share with my wife on our 20th Anniversary. Justin was great not just as a pilot but sharing information about ballooning, the history and the area. My wife and I both loved the experience and to top it all off it wrapped up with a fantastic breakfast.

Justin and his crew provide a quality, easy going and memorable experience, very impressed with what they do and Justin's clear passion along with his professionalism and dedication are evident throughout the entire experience, he is truly proficient at what he does! Safety is a reassuring factor the whole crew provide along the way. Floating above the earth taking in the atmosphere and experiencing the elements, at sunrise of all times, is an experience worth the trip!!

Having worked with Barossa Balloon Adventures for most of this year as ground crew, I've watched a stack of flights take off, and this week I finally had the chance to experience it for myself – and it was unreal!

I thought seeing it from the ground was amazing but I now know it never quite compares to being up there. We flew over the River Murray at Blanchetown just after sunrise. It was super peaceful, and the stillness of the flight was suprising. Both take-off and landing were seamless, and I would expect nothing less from Justin (the pilot).

I knew it would be good – but being in the basket gave me a whole new appreciation for what Barossa Balloon Adventure really has to offer. Having the experience of passenger with the knowledge of a Crew member, I would have liked to see more of what happened with the test balloons before the flight as I know how interesting this can be!

The breakfast back at the reception area was tasty but was not quite hot enough (temperature wise) for my liking, however the coffee was 7/7.

Thank you Justin for my balloon adventure!! I truly appreciate your knowledge and skill even more so after flying with you. Could not recommend this experience enough!!

Terrible customer service and unaccommodating rude behaviour from Justin. I was trying to propose 💍 to my wonderful partner (and now happily fiancé, no thanks to Balloon Adventures though)

The weather dependency of hot air balloons are completely understandable and we signed up for it knowing the challenges completely.

However, it was constant unbothered attitude and language that we faced, no requests were accepted including the basic request to get a photo of the proposal with the balloon as our back drop (despite a $50 photography package inclusion)

Weather conditions led to cancellation of the ride which we are now very thankful for, but no apologies, no acknowledgment of refund, no empathy or decent communication whatsoever.

This repulsive behavior makes me thankful I did not propose with Barossa Balloon Adventures :)

No better way to start a day Our balloon flight was great! Flying over the Murray River on a cold and tranquil morning was very memorable. Plenty of photo opportunities and, was also witness to a marriage proposal! (She said yes )
And the breakfast that followed was also excellent.

Floating is amazing! Loved the feeling of floating! If u are tall dont stand in the middle of the basket as the heat is very close, also take a hat! Beautiful weather in mid April and later 5.45am start. It was our second attempt, first on my October birthday was cancelled. It was definitely a good experience but I think some things could be improved on. They guy running the show was very stand offish and I didn't find him very friendly at all until we were in the air and wanted us to pose for photos (which cost a extra $50 u find out at the end, $20 would of been more reasonable). Then the tension seemed to ease and a few jokes came. Maybe the before take off is stressful but guests shouldn't sense it. The breakfast was a little underwhelming and felt rushed, like they just wanted u to hurry up so they could finish. Cake was for a few people celebrating birthdays so got a tiny slither. I would recommend not getting a voucher as u can't get a refund, first attempt we booked 5 nights in the Barossa for my birthday, second time we just drove up there at 3am from southern Adelaide and enjoyed the afternoon after in the area.

Amazing, and skilled flight. Justin picked the perfect spot for departure, we spied some kangaroos which delighted a group of 4 people from Singapore, once over the land we tracked over the river Murray for at least 10 km. We flew over the Blanchetown Bridge, surprising early morning traffic, and were safely flying low enough to wave to the people driving cars, who waved enthusiastically back to us. Once we left the Murry Justin took the balloon to greater heights showing the great Riverland plains. It was a shame to see how dry and brown the area was. Hopefully it has received some rain in the meantime. I would recommend a balloon flight to anyone who wants a wonderful experience and maybe tick this wonderful adventure off their bucket list!!!

Amazing We finally made the Balloon ride on our second attempt, the wait was worth it over the Barrossa. We all loved the experience from beginning to end. Amazing. Justin and his crew were professional and friendly and love their job. Would recommend to everyone to experience the ride.

Awesome experience, most memorable! The professionalism blended with passion for providing such a memorable and beautiful experience is exhibited by all the staff. My wife and I had an awesome time this morning, and can't thank everyone concerned enough for such a great time.

The overall experience was wonderful, and we enjoyed it. However, customer engagement during the flight could be improved. There was no general commentary for everyone during the balloon, and explanations were only provided to those who asked questions.

Regarding the photo package, we had included it in our booking, but the staff seemed unaware until we inquired. Out of the 62 pictures taken, I found only about five useful, making the $50 charge feel excessive. Additionally, no effort was made to take individual pictures of passengers in the balloon, which would have added value to the package.

As for the landing, the staff mentioned that we might experience some bumps and advised us not to panic. However, the actual landing was much rougher than expected. The basket completely tipped over few meters, leaving us on the ground in an unexpected position. While I didn't report any injuries immediately, I later realized I had sustained multiple bruises. A clearer warning about the landing experience would have helped us prepare better.

Overall, it was a good experience but not the best. Improved customer service and engagement would go a long way in making the experience satisfying and memorable.

Having the experience of other balloon rides, my husband and I found this flight a little lacking, there was no commentary about what we were flying over, and little interaction from the pilot except to ask us to smile while took photos that he then put on a thumb drive for sale at the end of the trip for $50.00 (preferably cash !!!).
Breakfast was lovely.

A magical experience!!!! Put this on your bucket list. These guys were so professional and covered every aspect of the experience brilliantly. The prep, the inflation, the flight, the 30+ onboard photos they took for everyone, the cooked breakfast, the personalised flight certificate . . . They did it all!!! Would strongly recommend this company. You’ll never forget it.

AMAAAAAAAAZING EXPERIENCE The whole experience was amazing! Yes it’s an early start which all adds to the adventure (you can always nap later). The whole set up is very professional, from meeting at the destination to getting to our destination for take off. Safety is paramount so you knew where to be and when and at all times felt safe. The take off was so gentle before you know it you’re up up and away. The views were absolutely amazing and just like being a human drone, got some fabulous photos. With over an hour in the air there were plenty of photo opportunities and also plenty of just soaking it all in. The landing was almost as easy as the take-off. Everyone gets in to help pack away the balloon so you can get back to headquarters for a gourmet breakfast, bubbles, orange juice, coffee, bacon eggs sausage, mushrooms tomatoe. Justin and his whole crew are friendly and pleasant. Totally worth the experience and also meeting new people in the basket.

Early start ballooning serene padded floor... we actually went to blanch town by the river to fly as Nuriootpa had harvested wheet bails... out of respect to farmers we went to Murray Bridge... every one helps pack up.. balloon is heavy once folded. Guys help lift it... 16 of us along balloon. Food and drink breakfast afterwards they do a cake if your birthday. Yummy alcohol available tea coffee ect juice... you can get a usb of photos that ground crew take... well worth it.

Our pilot was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The ground crew were excellent. The breakfast after our early morning flight was delicious.

The balloon rose into the air very smoothly, the landing was a little bumpy however the pilot did a great job and explained what would likely occur as we landed.

Around the Barossa for Eighty Years Absolutely stunning experience! All the staff were so friendly and professional - going out of their way to make the experience a special and memorable one. We were two sisters and our Mum doing the Balloon ride to celebrate Mum’s 80th birthday. The wind was not right for flying over the Barossa vineyards so we flew over the Murray River instead - and it was breathtaking. Our bus driver Tony was such enjoyable company - and our pilot Justin made sure everyone got to enjoy the view from every side. We felt safe at all times and the landing was smooth and gentle. The photos we received at the end captured the experience really well - and our champagne breakfast was delicious (thank you to Justin’s wife!) We would not hesitate to recommend Justin and his company to anyone wanting to take a hot air balloon ride in the Barossa Valley. Thank you to everyone!

Hot Air Balloon over the Barossa Was a 30th Wedding Anniversary gift from our 3 kid's last year 2023 and we decided to use it 17th April 2024 to celebrate our 31st. We took off smoothly and just floated around it was amazing.
Pilot Justin was amazing aswell as the rest of the crew Tony and Ernie along with the ladies having a delicious cooked breakfast ready for us when we got back.
Would do it again and recommend it to you all.

Well polished and stunning views An incredibly polished and well run organisation. It took two separate date attempts to get up, but I don’t think flying in lightning would have been enjoyable so I’m not complaining! All the people involved are very friendly, and the views across the Barossa are awesome.

Our morning in the Barossa sky I went hot air ballooning with my daughter. It was such a great morning One we will always remember. We took so many photos. The views were amazing,& it was so peaceful floating up above everything. We spotted a lot of kangaroos & rabbits running through the grapevines. Justin was very professional and threw in a bit of comedy along the way. I would highly recommend flying with Barossa Balloon Adventures

Bucket List Experience - Dont hesitate to book Riding with Justin and Crew was one of the highlights of my Barossa Adventure. The winds weren't cooperating in the Barossa on the day we flew so we went to Plan B and flew from Blanchetown in the Riverland. This has been on my bucket list for some time and I'm so glad I did it with this crew. Really professional and appreciated everyone's efforts particularly so early in the morning.
I was worried about the landing but it was nothing so don't let any fears or apprehension stop you.
My only feedback point would be to create a Barossa Ballooning Adventures sign on Stonewell Road as it was difficult to find - currently only a blue P for parking sign is there.

A fantastic morning celebrating our 50th birthdays over the Riverland. The weather wasn't quite right in the Barossa, so we ended up flying over the river instead. It is VERY peaceful up in the balloon. The views are amazing and Justin and his crew are fabulous.
Once we arrived back in the Barossa, we all had a wonderful cooked Barossa breakfast, complete with mimosa's, coffee, tea and home made birthday cake! A definite must do.

An Amazing, unforgettable, bucket list experience! I purchased the Barossa Balloon Adventure as a surprise gift for my wife on her 50th birthday. It had always been on her bucket list and wow it didn't disappoint. What an amazing experience for her and our whole family. So quiet and tranquil with amazing views of the Murray River. Justin and the entire crew were fantastic and what a way to finish with a cracking breakfast, glass of bubbly and a birthday cake! I would highly recommend and thank you for making my wife's birthday such a memorable occasion.

Had such a great time. The pilot and staff were so friendly and good. I would have loved to fly over the vineyards but it's all about the direction of the wind and safety of the passengers. The flight over the river was pretty good too. And the breakfast afterwards was great. Thanks team. I had so much fun.

AAA+++ AAA+++. The team were really professional. They focused heavily on safety and we were fully confident that we were completely safe on the trip. The views were amazing. It was so peaceful. We were extremely lucky - we managed to do the flight on our first attempt. One couple on our flight were there for their 7th attempt.
Hint because it's an early start, make sure you're wearing warm socks! When we were standing on the grass, waiting for the balloon to be inflated my toes were a bit cold, but once we were up in the balloon they were fine. It's actually surprisingly warm once you're airborne.

Stillness of Dawn The serenity and peacefulness and the sounds of nature floating over the murray river exceeded my expectation. Justin and the crew was an added bonus to our day. Finished off with a great breakfast using the fresh local produce.

Magical Justin and his crew gave all the passenger the opportunity to get involved and help set the balloon up and pack away (only if they wanted), the sun rise was magnificent, it was so quiet and peaceful floating through the air. Very professional operation from start to finish. Justin's wife cooked us a beautiful Barossa breakfast upon return.
Would throughly recommend this adventure as a must tick off your bucket list.
