Lloyd Brothers was the very first wedding venue we visited, and it set the bar impossibly high. It was beautifully set up for a wedding on the day we toured, and we were instantly enamoured. Every venue we viewed after simply couldn’t compare.

What truly set Lloyd Brothers apart was, first and foremost, the wedding coordinator, Mark Mihatsch. From the outset, Mark was kind, warm, and incredibly accommodating, making the entire process feel effortless. The setting itself is equally exceptional—so beautiful it serves as the perfect canvas for any style of wedding. We genuinely could have had no décor or flowers at all, and it still would have been breathtaking. From the serene pond and immaculate lawns to the twinkling fairy lights and the unforgettable barrel hall, we fell in love with every detail.

From the early stages of planning through to the final moments of our wedding day, Mark and the team at Lloyd Brothers were a dream to work with. As for the day itself: FAULTLESS! We were made to feel like the most important couple they had ever hosted, which made our celebration even more special.

We cannot wait to return on our wedding anniversary to relive the magic of this truly special slice of McLaren Vale.

Let me start off by saying Lloyd Brothers has won Best Wedding Venue for 2 years in a row for a reason. From the very beginning Mark was so easy to communicate with, provided all the details we needed and was always happy to answer any questions. He made our experience so stress free and easy going. Always offering a helping hand no matter what.

Our wedding day was a 42 degree summers day. But this did not stop Mark and his wonderful crew from making our day as special and easy going as possible. They were so accommodating to not only us, but all our guests. Providing them with frozen towels, portable air con and plenty of shade to make it as comfortable as possible. Also providing me with a pre ceremony tequila shot to get me excited and ready!! Thank you Mark for bringing a fun, exciting and considerate atmosphere to our day, and showing nothing but care.

As well as Mark, we wanted to thank all the wonderful staff. From our venue visits, to wine tasting selection to the wedding night. The staff are so incredibly friendly. They aren’t just there to get paid, they truely show their love and care to make everyone have the best experience possible. Your wonderful personalities really made the love in the room feel extra special.

We are so grateful to Lloyd Brothers for being apart of our day, and making it one to remember.

Highly Recommended! came here with my auntie and uncle, only after leaving another winery that was too busy, and we're glad it was! unfortunately, i've forgotten the name of our host(ess), but she was extremely engaging and really made the experience.

We had a great tasting today with Jade.
She made us feel very welcome and we can’t to come back for the pizzas.

Our visit was an amazing and enjoyable experience. Great wines, couldn't help ourselves, purchased a dozen. The reds are amazing.
Very tasty and varied food platter.
We were very lucky to have the very knowledgeable and delightful Jade guide us through our tasting.

You never know when this place is going to be open. They have great olive products, I know, as I've been in there. On some days they are even open during their operating hours!

However, three of my last six visits here to grab some olive products have been met with the closed sign in the middle of the day. No explanation, just closed for private function even though there's no function and no cars.

They've been my go-to for Olive and olive oil products for years but I can no longer waste my time driving up from Victor Harbor on the off chance they might be open, might be closed in the middle of the day.

I recently was a part of the bridal party at a wedding held at this stunning venue. Honestly, this venue is incredible. I work with ALOT of venues and hands down, the customised space possibilities, the food, wine, the attention to detail - was insane. A special mention to the phenomenal wedding staff!! and especially Mark the coordinator. I have never met a more supportive, calm, professional, patient and proud coordinator in my life! Anything you needed, Mark was there with an idea, a solution, a shoulder to lean on or take to a deep breath with. His extensive experience shines through. All of us felt genuinely cared for and supported by Mark and his team. They created such a safe space for us all we will never forget and they truly wanted the married couple to have the perfect day. Not only did Mark exceed expectations with his difficult job - he seamlessly and quietly handled any thing thrown at him and with the kindest nature. He genuinely was such a big highlight and forever a lovely memory and face associated with such a special day. We love Mark! and his lovely team. Thank you again. :)

I have visited Lloyd Brothers cellar door year after year for many years. I started going when the wine wasn't all the great and they matured into great wine. I have always had great service and enjoyed my time at the cellar door. My husband and I also bought wine from Lloyd Brothers for our wedding guests. However, recently when visiting with friends from Brisbane I was embarrassed and a shamed to be have recommended this cellar door. My friends who have never been to McClaren Vale or heard of Lloyd Brothers were pressured by me to go and tastes the wines and experience what I have loved about LB. The drive in was beautiful, the weather was great, the sign outside said "Cellar door open, come in for a tasting". We were then rudely greeted by a lady with shirt white hair who only said, "What are you doing here?". Taken back by this I asked if we could do a tasting, which we were responded by, we are not doing tastings today, you can purchase a glass of wine and sit outside. One of my friends then jumped in and responded that we would be leaving and go somewhere else. There was clearly 2 gentlemen doing a tasting, who to be honest looked like they were there to buy a failing business. If there was something private happening, put a closed sign out the front at your entrance. I had even called a few weeks before to confirm that LB was open and doing tastings and I was told yes they were. To confirm, we were a group of 4 at our second tasting for the day, it's not like we were a big group or drunk on our last stop for the day. Unfortunately, this has done it for me and my love for LB, I prefer to support small business and McClaren Vale has so many more cellar doors with a better attitude. My recommendation for any visitors to the area, just skip this cellar door, there are so many more amazing places and people to meet.

From the moment I walked in, it was evident that customer satisfaction was the last thing on their minds.The staff? Don't even get me started. They were rude, indifferent, and seemed to despise the very idea of providing service. It's as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to taste their lackluster wines.Speaking of which, let's talk about their wines – or should I say, swill? The flavors were dull, uninspired, and downright offensive to my palate. It's astounding that they have the audacity to slap a price tag on such low-quality products.And don't even get me started on the ambiance. The tasting room looked like it hadn't been updated since the Dark Ages. The atmosphere was about as inviting as a dentist's waiting room, minus the magazines.But here's the real kicker – the prices. Are they kidding me? Charging top dollar for wines that wouldn't even pass muster at a budget supermarket? It's insulting and frankly, unacceptable.In summary, Lloyd Brothers Winery is a disgrace to McLaren Vale. Save yourself the headache, the disappointment, and the insult to your taste buds. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Such an amazing experience, stunning place, very professional with a great wine tasting experience with our waiter providing lots of information about the way the wine is made. Also highly recommend the platter with all the olives and tomatoes grown at the place itself.

Excellent service Julian was very friendly and cooperative, treated us with delicious platter and wines. He listened to our questions and requests and tried his best to answer them.

We were recommended to visit Lloyd Bros by friends who had holidayed a week before us.
It is a lovely, easy to find location, with a beautiful outside setting.
Julien did a mini tasting of the Pilpoul whites (McLaren Vale versus Adelaide Hills) both delicious, and we settled on a glass each of their Picpoul Sparkling.
Would have loved to spend longer here, and will certainly plan better next visit.

Attended a beautiful wedding recently. Setting is so stunning and they had created a really special place inside the Barrel Room for the reception. The food and wine are great, but the staff really shone out for me - so helpful and accommodating. The whole experience was great.

What a beautiful spot in McLaren Vale! We were greeted promptly by the lovely ladies at the cellar door, and given a thorough rundown of the wines in the tasting flight as we sat in the sunny outdoor patio. We paired it with a beautiful platter full of olives and delicious tapenade. Definitely a worthwhile spot to visit while in the area!

Spent a delightful afternoon here enjoying the regional tasting platter, complete with some of Lloyds delicious olives and other tasty treats. They are able to cater for some gluten-free crackers. Wines are excellent and the aged reserve Shiraz our pick. Staff member Naomi was particularly helpful with an awesome can do attitude.

Great food and wine We organised a lunch with four friends. My wife has allergies and the staff were fantastic in catering for her. The food overall was exceptional and we all left in a food coma. The wine was also great. Thanks guys.

New wine stocks coming for wine tasting We stopped by to do some wine tasting- but unfortunately there was not much wine available for tasting. As the winery is undergoing a refurbishment with new new stock arriving soon - the end of July. The lovely young lady working on the day was very helpful and friendly. We purchased some olives and local produce. Plus 6 bottles of the late harvest Sauvignon Blanc at a great price. Beautiful gardens and a well presented winery.

Wine tasting We decided to stop into Lloyd Brothers for wine tasting. Flights are on offer, as most cellar doors are. We enjoyed 5 wines for $10.00 per flight, but unlike other wineries the $10.00 is not redeemable on wine purchase. This was not communicated to us. It was an expensive experience when we purchased wine.

Beautiful Winery We visited Lloyd Brothers Wines with interstate visitors. We were very impressed with the beautiful grounds and tasting room. The staff member behind the counter was so helpful and very friendly. After tasting the wine our friends purchased wine and gifts to take back to Queensland

Friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing views and relaxing vibes to have a wine and tasting board. Their White Shiraz is a must to try.

The wine and olives from Lloyd Brothers Wine and Olive Company are fantastic. It was a little quieter than the other wineries nearby but it was a great surprise. It has an excellent space for the kids to run around near a beautiful lake. Really recommend it.
