Amazing day tour with breathtaking scenery We had a wonderful day on the Hobart Mt Wellington, Mt Field, Bonorong and Richmond tour.

Our guide Garry was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Tasmania. From the start of the day everything was seamless and very well organised.

The itinerary was perfectly paced, beginning with a beautiful rainforest walk at Mt Field, followed by time in the historic town of Richmond, a visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, and finishing at the stunning lookout from the top of Mt Wellington. The views were absolutely breathtaking!

Bonorong was a real highlight. It was lovely to see the care and dedication given to the animals, and we even had the chance to hand feed kangaroos which made the experience very special.

Each stop was thoughtfully planned and Garry’s commentary throughout the day added so much to the experience. This tour is a fantastic way to see a variety of Tasmania’s landscapes and wildlife in one day.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hobart!

A lot of cool visits in one day. Jarrod picked us all up on time and was a super safe and informative driver. Great trip if you don’t have a lot of time but want to learn a lot about Tasmania.

Tall trees hike, kangaroos and a view from atop a mountain Great trip. Jared was an excellent guide and driver. He was knowledgeable, interesting and made the trip fun. Loved hearing about his family history.

Mt Field is a must see in Tasmania The guide Brett worked previously at the Taranga Zoo & was so knowledgeable about local fauna & spotted wild wallabies munching in a neighborhood. He was friendly & accommodating. Mt Field was truly beautiful with gorgeous waterfalls, tall eucalyptus & tree ferns. We had a beautiful clear day at Mt Wellington for panoramic views. Richmond was a historic township. I had a great time at Bonorang Wildlife Sanctuary that rehabilitated 2500 animal annually! I hand-fed grey kangeroos. But what was best was watching the adorable echidnas waddle around.

Great Highlights Tour of Hobart surrounds We really enjoyed this tour with Jarrod, who provided good commentary and stories from his convict forebears. It was a great mix of nature, history and amazing views from Mt Wellington (which was freezing cold and windy, but so worth it)

Three places in one day The Australian authorities were not ready to receive the passengers on time and we were only able to disembark with a delay of about an hour and a half. The company representatives were very nice, as they waited for us.
Our driver did his best on the 3th of December.
Bonorong was a disappointment, as we did not see a single animal in the first fifteen minutes! All the enclosures were empty or they were hiding. Richmond is a nice place with nice houses. Mt. Wellington was really for breathtaking views and panoramic pictures.

Natural Tasmanian beauty at its best After ziplines and boat tours, this visit was the perfect way to wrap up our outdoor excursions. Comfortable coach, informative local tour guide, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, birds, wallabies and fresh air perfect way to finish off our Australian getaway. The important highlight seeing the Tasmanian Devil at the Wildlife Sanctuary - Bonorong!

A great tasting of the area! I was traveling solo and did this tour as my first day in Hobart. What a wonderful experience. It was the perfect tasting of some of the area's treasures. The guide was wonderful, entertaining, kept track of everyone and kept us on time. The things I learned along the way helped me appreciate Tassie for the rest of my trip.

Tasmania in brief The only thing missing from this tour to get a complete overview of Tasmania is a visit to a 10 km long white beach. Everything else can be experienced on this tour: the animals, nature, a bit of history during the lunch stop. A lovely programme, well put together, with a knowledgeable, friendly guide. What more could you want!

Breathtaking experience! Amazing and breathtaking views and a very kind tour guide who was responsive and well educated. Excellent for someone who would like to see as much as possible during a short stay.

Phenomenal Time I had a phenomenal time on this tour. It was a lovely small group of us and our tour guide and driver was fantastic. My favourite part was Mt Field, but I also loved Richmond and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Unfortunately Mt Wellington was a bit cloudy!

Best tour guide ever! The tour guide was amazing! Immense knowledge of Tasmania, Hobert and the flora and fauna of the area. Loved his passion!

Tasmania Sampler Great tour, sort of a Tasmania sampler. Brett was really informative and I enjoyed learning about Australian wildlife from him. My only complaint with the tour was that there was a couple on it who were constantly late. They made us miss our keeper tour at the wildlife sanctuary. Brett was really too polite to say anything to them so they just kept being late and eating into our time. Other tour operators have said they would leave you if late and either come back themselves for you later or have someone from the company round up the stragglers. I didn’t appreciate that these two individuals were allowed to affect the entire group as they did. Their being so late wasn’t in the operator’s control, but how it was handled just having to all sit around waiting didn’t seem right either. It’s very cold on the top of Mt Wellington so bring an extra layer so you can appreciate the views without freezing to death.

A good overview of the area around Hobart. A more convenient meeting place with benches for example Elizabeth street has coffee shops and benches. Waiting outside a motel was not convenient and it was cold. I understand that a client was late so I had to wait.
The guide, Brett was knowledgeable and very helpful during the tour. As a science teacher I appreciated all the information especially about the animals at Bonorong animal sanctuary.

We did a hike at My Field national park which had some lovely waterfalls and a visit to the animal sanctuary which I really enjoyed . Last last location was Mt Wellington with a wonderful view. But a word to the wise , take warm clothes as the wind chill made it feel like -8C. All in all a very pleasant trip.

Amazing Tour. Highly recommend. Brett was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable about animals, the flora, history of the region and cultural issues. He made the trip an amazing experience. We loved all the different parts from the waterfall hike to the animals at bonorong, Richmond town and the view from mt Wellington. He even stopped along the way to show us wildlife! Fun in Tasmania sights Very lovely trip in all with a very friendly tourist guide cum driver. I truly enjoyed all the sights from the jungle treks, tall trees, wildlife sanctuary with all the amazing animals, quaint houses in Richmond and finally the view from Mt Wellington which was truly breathtaking. Would recommend this tour to everyone !

brett is the greatest tour guide of all time great tour, brett is super friendly and knowledgeable. personally would have preferred more time at mt. field to experience the beautiful waterfalls, and would skip bonorong wildlife sanctuary in favour of more time in mt. field. nice atmosphere and vibes, honestly felt like going on an erratic trip with the extended family lol!

Fantastic Brett was very enthusiastic and an exceptional guide. Even though Mt. Wellington was closed due to ice and snow, Brett ensured that our adventure was still complete.

Excellent! This day tour was fantastic. Mt Field National Park is beautiful and the waterfalls were incredible. If you look closely you can also see platypus in the rivers! The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a nice little stop to see some of the wildlife up close, including Tasmanian Devils and wombats!
Richmond is a cute little town with great food and shops, was a perfect place for lunch. Finishing off the day at the top of Mt Wellington (with perfect weather may I add), was an excellent way to finish the tour. While it was freezing, the views are absolutely incredible! Brett was our guide and it is clear he has a true passion for his job. He has profound knowledge of Tasmania’s history, nature and the wildlife, I loved hearing all of his little facts about Tassie. A 10/10 tour, would recommend!

A very worthwhile day trip An excellent tour with a very informative guide called Brett. A wonderful tour to give you a taste of Tasmania. The walk to the falls was beautiful and the trip up Mount Wellington was fantastic. We didn't see many animals at the sanctuary but it was very hot so most of the animals were taking shelter. All in all a very worthwhile trip highly recommended.

Explore Hobart and beyond Had a great day with Brett on the Mt Fields, Bonorong and Mt Wellington tour. Our Driver/guide was great, knowledgeable, fun, and full of history of the wildlife of the area. The weather was clear and warm and the countryside is beautiful.

Fun and included a lot Paul, the guide, was quirky, knowledgeable, and very fun. Quite a change in temperature from the windy top of Mt. Wellington to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary- be prepared! Small tours are the way to go off the cruise ships. Excellent day.

Day Tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond Our driver Hans was very knowledgeable and kept us well informed throughout the day.
The falls were AMAZING.
Our daughters really enjoyed the Wildlife Sanctuary.
We would have liked a bit more time in Richmond. It looks like there was more to explore.
We appreciated that even though Mt Wellington was closed due to road works, they substituted Rosny Hill Lookout and Mt. Nelson Signal Station.

The only downside were the couple who chose to ignore the time we were told to be back at the bus and our driver had to keep calling them to find out where they were.

Loved the nature on this tour One of our favourite tours we did in Tasmania. The hike in Mt Wellington is super chill, but definitely worth it for the waterfalls. We got there before any other group, so it was very quiet in the forrest. Just get ready if you go to Mt Field in winter that it will be very cold there, we saw snow, which we definitely did not prepare for.

Each Stop Was a Winner! What a wonderful variety of the best of the Hobart area! From the Mt. Field National Park forest to the Bonorong Sanctuary and finally the summit of Mt. Wellington we were treated to experiences we could not have accessed on our own without a great deal of driving and effort. Thankfully we had an expert driver who kept us moving but gave us plenty of time to immerse in each location.

A complete Hobart experience!!! Nice people and warnm attention! We really enjoyed the tour. The organization is excellent and with very attractive activities. The tour guide was very friendly with nice and interesting explanations. We are very happy because the flight was delayed and we were late to the meeting point and they were kind enough to wait for us, which we really appreciated. This tour is highly recommended. Always in contact with us prior to the trip. We are happy!!!

Perfect day The quide was absolutely perfect for the tour, the knowlegde he did have was huge and he was so natural. Views were absolutely mesmerazing. I loved.

Must do tour If you have a few days in Tasmania I would really recommend this tour. Our tour guide was Simon. You could just tell he really enjoyed his job. He was quick to make everyone feel welcome and he was a great story teller. The tour itself was perfect. Lovely scenic drives with plenty of time at each stop. Although there was a time limit I never felt rushed, and there was always enough time to see and do whatever you wanted. If you want to sit back, relax and visit some beautiful parts of Tasmania, do yourself a favour and take this tour.
