Her depth of knowledge of old and new Sydney, and the way she conveyed that knowledge, gave me a host of new perspectives of my home city, Sydney.
Many thanks Tilly

Any group of people living in isolation will develop their own linguistic identity. Australians speak a unique Australian English. Your assumption that this is “German/Lithuanean” accent is wrong. For that matter, any accent except your own will feel “painful” to you as you lack cultural diversity in your communication and interests.
Our guide is a highly experienced professional with over a decade of guiding multicultural groups and thousands of positive reviews from guests who had no difficulty understanding her. She conducts tours in English daily, successfully, for visitors from all over the world. That record speaks far louder than one person’s intolerance for accents different from their own.
Calling a guide’s accent “unacceptable” is neither fair nor reasonable, especially after acknowledging she was pleasant, knowledgeable, well-prepared, and delivered a solid route and content.
Travel inherently involves encountering people who do not sound exactly like you. If understanding English is only possible when it matches your personal accent, that is not a problem a guide or a tour company can fix.

It was basically a tour of the suburbs of Sydney punctuated by stops in random places so that we could all get out and take the same picture of the harbour, just from different angles. That was it, basically. Boring. Boring.
However, if this wasn’t bad enough, the on board guide was useless. I don’t blame him at all but he was clearly not English (sounded Central European) and his accent was so strong as to be virtually incomprehensible. I hardly understood a word of what he was saying. I couldn’t believe that a person with such a strong European accent (and I mean strong) was chosen to be a guide.
So as well as the experience being visually boring, it was also a total waste of time if you wanted to find out about the city of Sydney.
All in all, a complete waste of nearly 4 hours.
Avoid at all costs.

Thanks for taking nearly four paragraphs to announce that you booked a sightseeing tour and then resented the sightseeing.
Calling Sydney’s harbour “random places” is an impressive way to admit you don’t know where you are. The Opera House, Harbour Bridge and coastal viewpoints aren’t obscure suburbs; they’re literally why people fly halfway around the world. If seeing iconic landmarks from multiple viewpoints feels repetitive, that’s not a failure of the tour; it’s a misunderstanding of what a tour is.
As for the guide: complaining that someone was “clearly not English” and therefore unfit to speak about Sydney says far more about you than about him. Sydney is one of the most multicultural cities on the planet. Expecting a single accent to qualify someone as knowledgeable is not just ignorant, it’s embarrassing. Thousands of guests understand our guides just fine; if you didn’t, that’s hardly universal evidence.
You also somehow spent four hours seeing world-famous scenery, learning about a major global city, and still concluded it was a “total waste of time.” At some point, the common denominator deserves scrutiny.
In short: you wanted a different experience, didn’t bother understanding what you booked, and then blamed the city, the guide, and the tour for your own expectations. Future travellers should absolutely read this review, not as a warning about the tour, but as a warning about taking opinions from someone determined to be disappointed.

This being our first family visit to Sydney with 19 & 21 year old sons we were looking for something a little different.
My wife found this tour and I can say that Martin was an excellent guide. He was in charge from the moment we met him at the fountains and climbed on the bus. We never asked him where he was from and he has quite a thick accent - however he showed his enthusiasm for his adopted country by sharing knowledge, fun facts of the city and a steady stream of humour and “dad” jokes.
Would recommend if you haven't been to Sydney and he was happy to give useful travel info tips.

We had an amazing experience with Sydney’s Wonders Tours! Our guide, Martin, was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly welcoming. He brought the city’s history and landmarks to life with fascinating stories and just the right touch of humour. From the moment the tour started, Martin made us feel comfortable and included, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. If you're visiting Sydney or even a local looking to see the city in a new light, I highly recommend booking with Sydney’s Wonders Tours.

A great opportunity to see many of Sydney's bayside sites in three hours - good value. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable and funny but unfortunately his accent made it difficult to understand. I probably understood about 60%. Also there was no initial brief to inform us of the stops and duration. Further for reasons unknown, he selected several people to sit at the front of the bus (the best viewing seats) perhaps because they were tall or maybe they tipped him!

I recently joined a Sydney Sightseeing Tour, and it was nothing short of amazing! The itinerary was well-planned, covering all the must-see landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Bondi Beach. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience both fun and educational.
The tour bus was comfortable, and the group size allowed for a more personalized experience.
Whether you’re visiting Sydney for the first time or rediscovering the city, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a stress-free way to explore Sydney’s beauty and history.
Will definitely book again on my next trip!

The tour guide was fun and explained everything well
The only “issue” is that we were walking around the pick up location looking for the guide. Maybe carrying an umbrella with the name of the company would be helpful to know who we are looking for.

This bus tour was an absolute highlight of our trip! With so many incredible stops and a fantastic guide who was not only knowledgeable but also hilariously entertaining, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in a variety of new and exciting places. These were spots we never would have been able to experience on foot or on a crowded bus. The small group size made it easy to explore comfortably, and we even made some new friends along the way. Highly recommend this tour for a fun and unforgettable adventure!

We did this bus Tour March this year and I had posted review .. but it seems it’s missing . So posting again . We were first in queue to board .. but had to wait till end as they had funny boarding requests !! So first to arrive and last to allowed to board the Bus !! And the driver was terrible .. making sexist remarks and cracking silt jokes … we were even unable to understand his English at times . Hole they have improved now . Sorry to see that the owner has discounted my review .. I’m well aware and equally concerned on mobility issues of folks .. we had many normal folks sitting in front as well . Read few more on accent of the driver ., his silly jokes and treating us as school kids .. NEVER TO RECOMMEND !!
