Trevena Glen Farm is Brisbane’s Best Family Farm experience! We love to help friends & family connect in a fun safe place.
The farm has horses, ponies, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, pigs, sheep, donkeys, and a dog.
Our friendly guides will take you around the farm to see and interact with all of our loveable animals. “1hr Farm Animal Experience” tours are available from Monday to Saturday, 6 days per week (closed Sundays) for individuals or small groups of up to 20 people. Infants under two are free. Please wear enclosed shoes and bring water. The “Pony Rides” can be combined with this tour.
Our Miniature Train Ride is our newest attraction and is fantastic way to enjoy seeing the farm. Grab a cuppa from the onsite cafe and relax as the miniature train takes you through the beautiful trees across the bridge whilst you appreciate the stunning mountains in the background. In total the track is just under 500m long and depending on the day we will either do two laps of a smaller loop or one larger loop which includes the tunnel & bridge. The ride typically goes for 5 minutes total plus a couple of minutes for loading and unloading. In late 2024, we will also have an accessibility carriage so that everyone can enjoy this experience.
“Pony Rides” can also be added to this this booking (note that pre-booking guarantees you a spot).
“Mini Train Rides” only occur on saturdays and typically run every hour aligned with the start and end of tours.
Please note: A ticket must be purchased for each participating adult, as children under 10yrs must be supervised by a paid participating adult. Please book a ticket for everyone in your group 2 years and over. If the total number booked on a tour session is less than SIX, we may cancel the session and offer you the option to upgrade to a private tour or reschedule to another time. We are closed on Sundays.
Tours and experiences that run on a public holiday will incur a 15% surcharge. The general public tour on public holidays will require a minimum of 8 people on these days for the tour to run. We will let you know at least 2 hours in advance if we haven’t met that minimum so that you can reschedule your tour. For safety, enclosed footwear is required.
Our new cafe has opened, and offers barista coffee, chai, hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks. Open Saturday 9 – 2pm and 9 – 2pm on Monday to Saturday during school holidays. You can also order outside of these hours by preorder (please email request if you would like to have any hot drinks)

Great visit, lots of hands on experience with the animals in a beautiful setting with lovely staff. A wonderful experience. Sara was our guide and she was lovely and ensured all the children got to experience the different animals. Our granddaughter who is four had a great time. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. She also had the longer pony and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic Escape Rooms We did the Escape Room on Trevena Glen Farm and we had the best time!!!The staff are welcoming and fun, and the Escape Room itself was very well put together, the clues were clever and cute and just the right amount of challenging!
We can highly recommend.
Best experience. We took a private tour with my 2 yo Grandaughter. Cass was so accommodating - make sure you get her. Great money week spent.
Advanced Escape Room was a lot of fun We just completed a trial run of their new escape room on the farm. We got to experience the advanced version with just the two of us, having completed a few escape rooms before. We were really impressed by the quality and the challenge was just right, I think. Didn't quite solve it but were very, very close after the hour was up. I would recommend the experience if you have the opportunity.
Great farm experience so close to the city. Fabulous day out. The children were so excited to see the variety of animals as well as get to hold/pat and ride them. Our guide Eve was very informative, clearly loved the animals as well and ensured the children got the full experience. They also enjoyed the extended pony ride on Archie. Great operation, all the stalls were clean & within an easy walk. Well done Trevena Glen.
Great place for children Great experience for children to interact with animals. They had a lot of fun. Very well organised. A chance to ride a horse, cuddle chickens, guinea pigs and pat horses. Lots more fun things to do. Very friendly staff. They even helped us choose the best route around the farm and were willing to walk with us — and a horse — to all the locations we wanted for the perfect shots and overall farm experience. Truly exceptional service. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

When my kids wanted to watch how their beverages were made at the cafe, the lady staff was very kind to show how the choc shakes were being made. Highly recommend this place.
Educational, Fun, and Perfect for Kids! My two boys and I absolutely loved this tour! We learned so much about the animals, and our guide (sorry, I’ve forgotten her name!) was incredibly patient with my kids, who asked a million questions. We each got to walk an alpaca and had so much fun feeding the goats and sheep. The highlight was spending time with the rabbits and cuddling the baby chicks — they were only 12 days old! The only small downside was that we visited on a Friday, so the miniature train wasn’t running. We’ll definitely be back again soon!
Hands on farm experience Our guide was really nice and accommodating to our little girl. Many animals that you can get up close and personal with!Very understanding staff who love to work here.
Although I think this might be suited more for younger children the three of us still really enjoyed our time out here today.
The kids had a ball visiting all the animals and had the chance to pat and feed many animals. A highlight was the guinea pigs and our grandson loved holding and feeding them.
Highly recommend for the family An amazing experience for the kids. Super friendly tour guys and the kids learnt so much. Really unique and lovely experience
BRILLIANT!! Absolutely brilliant day. We visited for my daughters birthday and she was involved in preparing animal feed, walking animals, moving animals to different areas of the farm, feeding them and horse riding. Bryce was our tour guide for the 3 hour private tour and allowed us to do as much or as little as we liked. We loved all the goats, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, horses, rabbits, chicks, guinea pigs and of course Freckles the pig. Bryce is a lovely, personable, mature, responsible and friendly young man. He was very knowledgeable and very patient with the oodles of questions my daughter had and waiting for my 80yo Mum to keep up with us walking all over the farm. We chatted the entire time and nothing was too much trouble for him. Such a wonderful young man of only 18yo and Trevena are lucky to have him. All the staff were extremely friendly and the views over Mt Glorious are stunning. The suggestion to stop at Lake Samsonvale on the way home to watch the sunset was the perfect way to end the day.Highly recommend a visit to Trevena if you love animals. 10/10 from us!
Best family morning out ever! If I could rate it higher I would. Amazing! Return visitors here. We have both school excursions in the past and a general admission today. This place feels so relaxed and welcoming. We spoke to several staff today during our visits and every single person from the cafe to our tour (thank you Lily) and just generally walking around was so friendly. One of the staff even simply walked up to us to ask if we needed anything and how we were enjoying our visit. I forget her name but I found out during our conversation she was new to the team, she was so friendly and welcoming! Everything runs so well with minimal wait times between attractions even on a Saturday! Thank you all so much we will be back very soon for another relaxing morning out!
Wonderful farm, happy animals, great staff: 10/10 We took our two kindy classes on an excursion to Trevena Glen farm for the day, and it was just the best experience from beginning to end. What a beautiful farm in an idyllic location! The facilities were well set up to accomodate our group (35 kids and about as many adults because of our keen parent helpers), including a fenced eating area and plenty of taps to wash little hands. We had animal experiences which included feeding and/or patting some goats, an alpaca, sheep, rabbits, chickens, pigs and guinea pigs, and brushing the mane and body of a gorgeous little horse.
The animals were obviously well cared for, and for many children this was their first (but very memorable) experience up close with these gorgeous, calm creatures. The three farmers who took our three groups around did a fabulous and age-appropriate job of drawing the children’s attention to the ways animals were getting what they needed in the way of food and water and care, and the different shelters and enclosures each animal had which gave them space to roam and play and enjoy the sun and pasture. You’ve never seen a group of four year olds so engaged and calm and happy.
It was a perfect experience, ran like clockwork, the staff were so warm and friendly, and the views of the surrounding hills and mountains was breathtaking. As a teacher I’ve been on lots of excursions in my time but this was by far the most memorable, and the children have been sharing so many wonderful learnings and experiences from the day with enthusiasm- and it’s inspired lots of extensions of this learning in their play back at kindy since.
Thanks Jeanine and the rest of the team for such a great day out! Oh I can’t believe I almost forgot to include the tractor ride- which was a big hit with kids and adults too!
(I have the express permission of the parents of the children pictured in these photographs for them to be shared online for the purpose of this review)
A little piece of animal loving paradise! I could not have loved this place more. My son and I did a 3 hour private tour and we got to spend time with all of the animals with our own private guide. My son rode the donkey. We walked the alpacas and both rode horses. Cuddled guinea pigs and chickens and pat a bunny. Saw an egg in the incubator starting to hatch and all the baby chick's. Fed the pigs. Brushed the goats. Pat a sheep. They also have the grandest tree turned into a treehouse/playground. The place just felt so warm and loved and just beautiful with the mountains behind it and the staff were all wonderful. Particularly our guide Suzie. Well worth the experience and I can't wait to go back and do it again. Getting up close with the animals like that is like therapy! Even my 8 year old said it was a 10 out of 10 and we may need to get some guinea pigs of our own now.
Great family farm trip Our tour guide Ben was very friendly and patient. We enjoyed meeting all the different animals. Walking the alpacas was definitely a highlight and my 4yo daughter loved her pony ride. The cafe staff were friendly and it was great to be able to buy drinks and ice blocks on such a hot day. The tree playground was a hit with the kids. Only disappointment was missing out on a train ride as we were visiting after the last one ran. A great afternoon, well worth the drive. The staff are warm and friendly, and the animals are gentle and cute!
The farm environment is very clean and comfortable!
Great place for family outing!
Great family day out We had a fantastic time at Trevena Glen Farm with our 5 and 2 year Olds. We did the personal 1 hour tour and our guide was fantastic. She answered all of our 5 year Olds questions (and there were alot) and also kept our 2 year old interested in the tour. Our kids got to pat, feed, brush, ride and hold so many different animals and loved them all. We also added a pony ride which our two year old decided she wasn't going to ride the horse. So they let our son use her ride as well. A great wholesome family place to visit.
We both loved it! I took my 2 year-old grandson for a personal tour on Thursday - it was fantastic! Being so little, he often gets overlooked in big groups so one-on-one with our excellent guide was perfect! She had such wonderful patience with a toddler. Leo got to pat the donkey, feed the pigs, alpacas & goats, hold the softest sweetest chicken and brush the guinea pigs. He was most excited to see the tractor! It was a lovely morning outing - all the staff were friendly, I was impressed by the on-site cafe and the farm is well set out for kids. Too small this year for a pony ride or the treehouse so we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great day!
Lovely experience! Great staff! Knowledgeable and accommodating. We’ve been there once before, and were pleasantly surprised with addition of the cafe and the tarmacked road.
Wonderful Farm experience What an awesome place to visit. This is our second time. Everyone who works there is lovely and all the animals are so well looked after and spoiled. A great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday of fun with the kids. Something for both the kids and adults to enjoy. I look forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.
support this amazing family business with MANY things on a farm to learn and enjoy - these were enjoyed the most - Horse riding,
HUGE tree house,
learning about farm animals and how they are cared for,
The "laughing donkey" and the process of getting our tickets and group booked was SO easy!
They are busy doing a mini train track - which I HOPE will be finished soon.
one thing my 4yr old noticed and he asked me on the way home - "Where the cows on the farm mommy?"
The group enjoyed all the animals, playing and climbing and holding the chickens - hope to have some more animals when the train comes in and more people support this amazing family business.
We NEED more places liek this for the family to go in the holidays thats for sure.
Awesome ???? This is a great place to visit for school holidays and any day, we booked 1 hour personal tour for 2 adults and 2 kids, the staff are very friendly, helpful and patient, nice little cafe area, lovely coffee, special thanks Alan, he gave me the advice of which type of tour is best for age group, it’s amazing l’ll give this place 5 stars ️️️️️
Farm Tour/Horsemanship Session Enjoyable school holiday/weekend activity to do with kids who love and enjoy patting and feeding animals. Picturesque mountain views as well. Very friendly staff and tour guide. The Horsemanship Sessions are another great activity to do over the holidays if you are a beginner and want to see if horse riding is for you.
Affordable prices and great way to support small unique businesses.
We are looking forward to seeing the completed renovations next school holidays - we'll be back with the rest of the family and will bring a picnic lunch.
Thanks for hosting us.
Farm Theme Birthday Celebration Fantastic experience for the kids and also the adults. We had a lovely time celebrating our two year old birthday with our friends. This place has opened up a cafe and the coffee was a great addition to our winter morning birthday celebration. Thank you.
Hands down fantastic! Big thank you to both Liz and Susi for making our Trevena Farm adventure with our 3 year granddaughter pretty special. We booked a pony ride and an hour private tour of the farm. Our little person’s first attempt at the pony ride ended not happily but then along came Liz with her kind heart and infinite patience next thing we knew our little girl was enjoying a ride on beautiful Thor.
Then the fun really kicked up a gear with gorgeous sparkly Susi who took us on an hour long private tour to meet all the animals. Our little person and Susi had a such a wonderful rapport, was so good to see. There were loads of beautiful animals to meet, hold and feed. They all looked happy, well cared for and loved. ️
The farm is located in beautiful countryside amongst rolling hills, just lovely. And that enormous 100+ year fig tree with its treehouse/playground amongst it’s branches was just fabulous!
Our visit exceeded our expectations, thank you Trevena Glen Farm.
Awesome big tree with an AMAZING tree house - every kids dream!
Remember a hat and sunscreen for those warm days.
Alpaca's were a hit with feeding, as was the rabbit cuddles
A great afternoon out! We brought a group of gorgeous Intellectually Disabled adults to Trevena Glen farm and we had a fabulous day! We chose the 3hr animal tour and got to wash miniature horses, lead Alpacas and a Llama, feed Guinea pigs, rabbits, donkeys, sheep, chooks, 2 hilarious pigs (Thanks Peppa and Freckles for some great belly laughs) and had a short horse ride. Afternoon tea was included with a drink, fruit, cake and pikelets with jam.We were so lucky to have Peter for our guide. He made our guys so comfortable and they loved him. He used to be a teacher and he must have been the most fun teacher ever!) The ladies helping us with the horses we're lovely. The staff are experienced with disability, and happily chatted away with all nof us. We will definitely be back, and will be bringing our Grandkids up as well. Thanks to all at the farm.
They had good facilities and their morning tea was delicious!
Pete was our tour guide. He was very informative and made me feel comfortable riding a horse. It was the best morning. You can tell that they love and care for their animals!
Amazing experience! My partner and I had the best time! They had good facilities and their morning tea was delicious!
Pete was our tour guide. He was very informative and made me feel comfortable riding a horse. It was the best morning. You can tell that they love and care for their animals!
Excellent Activity For All Ages This is the 2nd time I have visited the farm with my grandson who is 3. We love it, we did the 1 hour tour as this is enough with just the 2 or 3 of us. He also had the pony rides before & after the tour as he lives horses/Ponies. The tour is tailored for you which is perfect, from walking the Lama’s, spending time with the small animals & feeding the pigs. Our personal guide was Jade who was great with our grandson & very knowledgeable about all the animals.
We will go again in a year or so time when he visits again. By then hopefully the cafe will be open as this will be a great addition to the farm experience.
3 hour farm experience Such an awesome experience. Jeanine was a very good host and very accommodating!! Will definitely be back
Best farm experience on the north side! Got to cuddle, pat and feed a range of animals. Animals are well looked after and the farm is well kept. Super friendly staff too!
An incredible day on the Farm!! My girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have the Farm to ourselves, highly recommend the 2hr tour and horse ride. Jessie (sorry if misspelt) was an incredible guide, made this day one of our most memorable. If I could give Trevena Glen 6 stars I would!!
