TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 | Perth to Margaret River (Friday)
After being greeted by your guide, it’s time to leave the city behind and begin three days of bliss, movement, and mindful adventure on your weekend escape from Perth.
Your first stop is Western Australian icon Busselton Jetty—the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, stretching an impressive 1.8 kilometres over the sparkling waters of Geographe Bay. Take a moment to stretch your legs along the boardwalk and grab a drink from a local café as you soak in the sea air.
Then it’s onwards to paradise: the turquoise waters of Meelup Beach. Take a refreshing swim or simply relax on the sand and savour the coastal serenity before enjoying a peaceful beachside picnic, followed by your first yoga session in a setting that truly nourishes the soul. With the sound of waves, soft ocean breeze, and sunshine all around, you’ll be guided through a grounding practice by Heather Starr, beloved local yogi and founder of the South West Yoga Fest.
Time for a little indulgence, because a visit to Margaret River isn’t complete without a taste of its world-class wines. Be welcomed at Jilyara like an old friend. This small, family-owned vineyard is surrounded by bees, birds, and bushland. Settle in for an easy-going tasting and hear the story behind the label while you sip on wines that reflect the laid-back spirit of the region.
From here, it’s a short drive to Fair Harvest, your home for the next two nights. Nestled in the quiet surrounds of a working permaculture farm, this unique property features produce gardens, a yoga barn, a farm café, solar hot water showers, and eco-friendly composting toilets. Your bell tent glamping awaits.
As the sun sets, gather for a wholesome camp dinner, connect with your fellow travellers, and ease into the peaceful rhythms of nature.

Day 2 | Margaret River (Saturday)
Rise to the sounds of the farm and birdsong, and fuel your body with a nourishing breakfast.
This morning, we head for the region’s iconic coast to stretch our legs on a walk at Surfers Point, home of the legendary Rip Curl Pro. Watch the waves roll in and the surfers carve it up—right where the Margaret River meets the Indian Ocean in a dramatic fusion of river and sea.
Next, we make our way to the vibrant Margaret River Farmers’ Market, where the region’s rich arts and food culture shines. While your guide gathers fresh produce for tonight’s dinner, you’ll have time to wander the stalls, soak up the vibes, and pick up a few gourmet souvenirs. Afterwards, head into town to explore the eclectic Margaret River main street, with free time to enjoy lunch at one of the many inviting cafés or restaurants.
In the afternoon, take things at your own pace with the optional addition of a relaxing massage. If you’re not treating yourself to a massage, you’ll head to the award-winning Giniversity at Margaret River Distilling Co. for a spirited Tour & Taste experience. Sip your way through four uniquely crafted gins, each paired with aromatic garnishes and discover the passion, creativity, and botanicals behind every bottle in a fun, hands-on tasting led by a local gin expert.
Back at Fair Harvest, take some time to rest and reflect before gathering for our final night together. Tonight’s dinner is a joyful celebration of the fresh ingredients we’ve sourced throughout the day, shared under the stars, in great company.

Day 3 | Margaret River to Perth
This morning begins with a beautifully grounding yoga and sound meditation experience in the yoga barn at Fair Harvest. Sound healing has ancient roots in cultures around the world, including Australia’s First Nations peoples, who have used the didgeridoo as a healing instrument for over 40,000 years. Let the vibrations wash over you and settle your nervous system as you prepare to re-enter the world with a fresh perspective.
After packing up camp, it’s time to immerse yourself in nature on a 5km bushwalk through the gorgeous Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. This coastal trail winds through native bushland to Cape Naturaliste, offering panoramic views across the ocean. Along the way, stop at scenic lookouts and take in the wild beauty of the coastline.
Finish with a relaxed picnic and refreshing swim at Windmill Beach, one last chance to soak in the serenity of this incredible region.
With your soul full, we’ll roll back into Perth around 5:30 pm, where you’ll farewell new friends and float gently back into everyday life—rested, inspired, and renewed.

Would do it over and over again I had the BEST time. Misty was an amazing tour guide, would recommend to everyone to go on a trip with her!!First of all the island is absolutely gorgeous, rich in wildlife, full of beautiful scenery and silent moments. But also due to the well planned tour provided by the company, everything was well organised, all meals provided and dietary requirements cared for, I was able to rent a sleeping bag directly from the company as well!
The overarching success of the tour was our incredibly knowledgable, personable and attentive guide Steve! Nothing was too much trouble for him, if our group wanted to make additional stops, to change the itinerary or to create new activities it wasn’t too much trouble!
Couldn’t recommend the tour anymore!
Exceeded expectations This tour was excellent, Hannah your knowledge of South Australia and Uluru was amazing. Thank you for the awesome trip
Amazing experience! It was an incredible experience, exceeding mine already high expectations. Our guide, Hannah, was fantastic; she shared her passion and knowledge with us.
The places are magnificent, and sleeping in swag is something unique.
Highly recommended!
A fantastic way to see Kangaroo Island Fantastic value for money. It was a packed three days in which we toured the island and saw some breathtaking things: Remarkable Rocks, Seal Bay, and a swim in the southern ocean were my standouts but I also loved sleeping out, the meals we prepped and ate together, and driving along in the bus seeing how the island is recovering from the fires. Our guide, David, worked his socks off for us for the entire three days. I'd do this trip again in a moment.
Exceptional Tour 10 days unforgettable. The group of persons was just exceptional. Days after days, our guide Marcus created an incredible and wonderful atmosphere for all of us. His experience and knowledge of the bush and swag camping allowed us to profit a maximum of each moment in the morning and in the evening at our sleeping places. The activities, landscapes and roads experienced were just amazing. I highly recommend this tour for all who want to discover Australia from Adelaide to Perth.
Fun whirlwind 3 days :) My guides, Dan and Marian, made this trip memorable. Dan was very knowledgeable and informative about the island. He brought our group to many places. Marian provided delicious meals and lovely company during walks, beach time, and at camp. Cheers!! I would travel/tour with them again. (The camping gear and facilities were in very good condition—much appreciated at the end of our long days).
A good fun time I had a great time on my 3 day kangaroo island tour. Chris was a great and friendly guide. We went to nice places, such as stokes Bay and emu Bay. Camping was fun and the equipment was clean.
I would reccomend to a friend
A trip to remember Loooooved the trip, the group, place we visited and the tour guide Chris and fell fellow assistant Zoe. 10 out of 10
Hannah is a rock star guide Hannah was our guide for our road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. She was kind, funny, thoughtful and very professional. When the conditions changed (forest fires!) and required some unexpected detours, Hannah calmly made adjustments to our trip and made sure everyone in our group was informed. She was a delight to travel with and an absolutely amazing driver even when hauling a trailer behind our bus filled with our luggage!!
Brilliant company, loads of laughs, stunning views and wildlife!
Not forgetting Steve the tour guide who made everything so enjoyable 👌
An incredible experience on Kangaroo Island An incredible experience on Kangaroo Island. Choosing the 3-day tour was absolutely the right decision – it allows you to truly immerse yourself in the island rather than rushing through highlights on a one-day trip. The pace was perfect, and everything was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. One of the absolute highlights was spending the night in a swag, surrounded by wallabies and sleeping under a breathtaking star-filled sky. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up in the middle of untouched wilderness was a truly unique and grounding experience – something you simply don’t get on a standard tour.
A special thanks to Steve for his outstanding knowledge and for taking us to so many incredible places that truly showcased the diversity and beauty of Kangaroo Island.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Kangaroo Island properly.
Fantastic 3 days, wonderful wildlife, beautiful island A great way to explore this beautiful island. Steve was a great guide and took us to the perfect places to spot koalas, kangaroos and wallabies, as well as cooking up delicious dinners and even a birthday cake for one member of the group. As well as all the incredible wildlife, I loved the beautiful beaches and amazing rock formations. The swags were surprisingly comfortable and waking in the middle of the night to the stunning star-filled night sky was a trip highlight. I’d definitely recommend this brilliant trip - we left with so many wonderful memories.
Amazing guide Hannah I just had the pleasure of Hannah leading my group from Adelaide to Melbourne. What a sheer pleasure it was. She is not only the consummate professional she is also very knowledgeable, thoughtful, smart and and stays cool when things needs changing. She has the ideal temperament to be a guide. We all miss her already!
Wonderful getaway from the city It was such a wonderful experience being out and about in Kangaroo Island, seeing the remarkable sights and amazing wildlife. It was so fun sleeping in a swag under the stars as well! Hannah took such good care of us and made our trip a truly memorable one!
Nice trip It was awesome! We saw much wildlife, had great evenings at the campfire and our guide Hannah was the best. She was friendly, made delicious food and teached us much about Kangaroo Island
Breathtaking and wholesome. My father and I were both blown away with the experience. It was thoughtfully planned out fitting so much in to our 3 days
From herritage information to breathtaking views it was just a great experience for us both.
Highly recommend to anyone willing to see, feel and taste first hand what our country has to offer on the south coast Chris did a fantastic job thankyou.
Adelaide to Perth 10-day camping tour An excellent adventure! Eli was a reliable, calm and knowledgeable guide and driver. He and assistant Bella were kind, competent, cheerful under all circumstances (days of rain, a problem with the bus door, tardy travellers). Typically we were on the road about 6 a.m. We covered such long distances on some days - I would never drive that far myself, and it was brilliant to visit places along the way.
A few of the many highlights: Whistling Caves near Streaky Bay sounded like an ogre roaring through the rock fissures; Cape le Grand National Park - a sea eagle over the headland and amazing lighting effects as the sun peeked through the rain-clouds over the turquoise sea; a family of emus in the sweet bushland of the southern Flinders Ranges; the granite peaks of Castle Rock in Porongorup National Park; a morning of learning how to propagate native cuttings for regeneration; meeting Josh Whiteland, Noongar cultural custodian, at Yalingup Caves, and hearing the music of his didgeridoo down in the heart of the caves.
I was glad to have brought my own hike tent, as there were several rainy nights. It would have been good to have a map of our itinerary.
A trip worth doing, and very good value for the price.
Brilliant I completed the 7 day Uluru to Adelaide Tour. It was an amazing trip & should be on everyone’s to do list. So many brilliant experiences starting at Uluru & ending with 2 days camping at the Flinders Ranges. Eli was a brilliant tour guide. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic & friendly.
Uluru to Adelaide I did the 7 day Uluru to Adelaide tourWhere to start with all the many amazing things I saw during this tour? On several clear nights there were so many stars to see from the warmth of the swag without having to move more than my head. And the swag was very comfortable to sleep in - I was kinda dreading that part, completely unnecessary as it turned out. There were the camels that turned up for the sunrise at Kata Tjuta. The wild horses along the road. The countless kangaroos and emus we saw in the Flinders Ranges. The small snake at the Garden of Eden, during the King's Canyon Rim Walk which was a great hike all on its own. The vastness of the country we travelled through, when it seemed the flat plains would go on forever.
Eli was a fantastic guide. He was enthusiastic, friendly and very easy to talk to. Also very knowledgeable about the aboriginal cultures of the regions we travelled through. He pointed out so many animals and plants, with stories about their historic background as well as giving us a lot of current information. And he knew the best spots for watching sunsets as well as wild animals.
It was seriously the best group tour I ever took part in. The perfect mix of hikes, sightseeing and relaxing while being surrounded by stunning landscapes
Experience the outback to the fullest! How to describe this really fantastisc trip. It had everything: an enthusiastic, well informed and dedicated guide, good swags and most of all all those wonderfull places we went. You can read them in the itinerary but during the trip you are in the middle of them and experiencing them to the fullest. Views, wild animals, good food all of it was there. Thanks Eli we had a great time. Sapperdeflap!
Adelaide to Perth 10 day tour! We had an amazing trip from Adelaide to Perth with our guide Adam! So much cool driving and activities and he still managed to stay positive, informative and cook us great meals everynight with our help! Overall a great experience with great memories made!
Adelaide to Perth Tour I had a great time on our Adelaide to Perth tour! We did some amazing hikes and went to beautiful beaches. Our tour guide Adam did a great job and fed us very well!
Elliot our guide was knowledgeable, fun and worked tirelessly to get the best experience for all of us with a challenging agenda, thanks Elliot!!
Highly recommend this trip 👌
We had the opportunity to see what the real Australian outback looks like – wild nature, vast spaces and an atmosphere that cannot be compared to any other place.
I was very impressed by our guide. Elliott had incredible knowledge about the nature, history and culture of this place, and he was able to convey it in an interesting and accessible way. Thanks to him, we learned a lot of interesting facts, and the whole trip was not only an adventure but also a lesson. Importantly, he took care of every detail and made sure that everyone felt comfortable.
I did this as a solo traveller and it was perfect for meeting people, with a wide range of ages in the group. Highly recommend this tour!
Great trip Great experience. Had a wonderful time. The tour guide Eli was very nice and helpful. This trip covers the incredible scenery of Australia leaves you mesmerised.
The best trip I've ever been on. I have travelled extensively all over the world, and I can say that the experience we had with Elliott for 7 days was by far the best I've seen. Our lovely group enjoyed a full week of adventures and experiences well beyond what we expected. Elliott took care of everything, for 16 hours a day every day! Every extra request - from picking up souvenirs for people to extending certain parts of the trip was taken care of for us. We had the best spots for each sightseeing opportunity and got to see the best of every experience free from the usual crowds.
Thanks, Elliott, for giving us all the trip of a lifetime. I would do the tour, or any other tour, again in a heartbeat!
Great swag-camping tour to Uluru with Untamed Escapes My partner and I did the 7-day Adelaide-Uluru tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highlights for me were swag camping in the Flinders Ranges, hiking the Kings Canyon rim walk, and seeing Uluru and Kata Tjuta from afar at sunset from the viewpoints of Yulara. We had a small group and all got along well. This was our second tour with Untamed Escapes and we knew we were in safe hands with the same guide from our first tour, Hannah. She was knowledgeable, organised, enthusiastic, accommodating and energetic throughout which brought the tour to life. Glad that we went in September – it was cold at night in some places, but mercifully cooler in the day as well in the Red Centre so weren’t struggling with heat. We hired the sleeping bags offered by Untamed Escapes which were good for the cold nights. Would recommend bringing a fly net which can be worn over a brimmed hat.
Great and informative guide, amazing sites, a good balance of driving, bush walking and culture. I did the 8-day Adelaide to Uluru tour with Untamed Escapes and Elliott as our guide, with a group of 12 wonderful, fellow travelers. It was amazing!Every day brought new, breathtaking scenery and the experience was made so much more interesting by the very informative stories that Elliott had researched and shared on a range of subjects from Aboriginal culture, to colonial history, wildlife, geology and plants.
Our group included people ranging from 9 to their seventies and everyone was very well looked after and catered for. It all worked well because the entire group participated in camp set-up, cooking and pack down. The food was excellent and plentiful too.
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see iconic outback sights, and experience bush adventure off the beaten track, with a great balance of driving, bush walking and culture.
Once in a lifetime experience I did the 8 day trip from Adelaide up to Uluru. Elliot is amazing with every up and down we had he was smiling and happy to help anyway possible. Also his knowledge and the stories he told us about everything was great. This trip was amazing the activities you do and what you see is unforgettable.
An incredible tour to Uluru This tour is a must do if visiting Australia! We had an amazing time travelling from Adelaide to Uluru with lots of great stops along the way! It was clear to see that culture was a very important part of this tour which definitely added to the whole experience. Eli was a fantastic guide who kept us all safe and shared his passion and knowledge for Australia with us all! Thank you Eli for such an unforgettable trip!
Incredible Trip Booked the tour kinda spontaneous and I have to say it was one of the best trips ever. The group was fun and divers. We got blessed with Eli as our tour guide. He was doing such a great job by managing several different jobs: driver, tour guide, chef. He knew all our names after the first day, made sure from the beginning that everyone felt comfortable. His inspiration and knowledge about the indigenous people is remarkable and that all at his age. He found the right balance between staying within the schedule, but also be spontaneous and relaxed.
I cannot thank him enough to make this tour unforgettable.
The trip was chock-a-block full of sunsets, sunrises, hikes, wildlife, swag sleeping under the stars & campfire’s with story telling and cracking laughter.
8 amazing days of stunning scenery & building a closer connection to both country & our tour family.
It’s an impossible task to name a singular highlight, but the deeply spiritual indigenous cultural tour with John in the Flinders Rangers will stay with us forever. Thank you Hannah & Untamed for an unforgettable experience… it far exceeded our expectations!
Best tour & tour guide! I had the best time on my trip from Adelaide to Uluru. Our tour guide, Eli, was very friendly and knowledgeable throughout the whole tour. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. The places we went were beautiful, learnt a lot along the way and made the best memories. Thank you Eli.
Incredible Outback Adventure The Adelaide to Uluru tour with Untamed Escapes was an absolutely incredible tour. Traveling through the middle of Australia, camping in swags at night under the stars, and hiking beautiful trails to catch stunning sunrises and sunsets was a surreal experience. The tour is also a very informative one that really takes into consideration the history and the culture of the aboriginal people whose lands we travel through. Our tour guide, Eli, was phenomenal and did a great job of taking care of us through the entire duration of the tour; he was very knowledgable about everything having to do with the Outback and his enthusiasm for his work was very evident. The buildup and anticipation of finally making it to Uluru by the end of the tour was extremely rewarding and I cannot recommend this tour enough for people who really want to fully experience the magic of the Outback. It fulfilled many dreams of a lifetime.
My wife and I had a really fun time.
Some improvements I would make:
1/ even though there was wine tasting advertised in the itinerary introduction there was no wine tasting. Several of us were waiting for it to happen when we were told it was time to leave. We wanted to buy wine so we and the locals lost out. We would have paid for tasting ourselves if we knew it was not included.
2. I would suggest having some tents available for couples or for those who find swags a little claustrophobic. I enjoyed the swag on the second night that was good weather but the first night was wet and I didn't like it.
3. The bus ride from Adelaide to Port Jervis and back was extremely uncomfortable for me. I don't usually get motion sickness but both times I was feeling queasy. Maybe the bus driver needs to drive to the conditions. Speed limit is a maximum not a literal instruction
4. The facilities at camp happiness are pretty filthy. Cobwebs, spiders and dust everywhere. The toilets smelt really bad.
the van that we rode in on KI was very dirty too until my wife cleaned it.
Brilliant experience, saw so much! We managed to pack a lot into three days, we were taken to some beautiful bays and beaches, the remarkable rocks were magnificent and fun to play on, and we saw lots of cool animals seal lions, fur seals, kangaroos, koalas, dolphins and lots of cool birds. The view at the Dudley winery was just stunning! We were fed so well throughout and Eli and Elliot were really great guides, so knowledgable and always kept the group in good spirits! I had a fab time thank you!
10 Days Adelaide to Perth - rare, unforgettable experience Thank you to everyone from the "Ultimate Escapes" - the tour guides Tom and "Jerry", the behind the since staff that created and supported this itinerary and fellow travellers who made these 10 days unforgettable. We travelled a bit over 4200 km, filled with adventure and camaraderie. We tackled together beautiful hikes, slept in swags (and some of us for a few nights decided to have the luxury in tents) which added a unique touch to the experience.
The diversity of Australia truly is something special. I was thinking the long drive through Nullarbor would be boring, but happen to discover a stunning beauty of the coast - The Great Australian Bight - with its dramatic cliffs and gorgeous ocean with the whales and when you think, further down, opposite them is Antarctica
Cape Le Grand NP - another place that I really enjoyed very much. The beaches are stunning. The whitest and finest sand in the world is in Lucky Bay where we were really "lucky" to spend 2 days. The water is crystal clear and dipping your legs in the freezing water after a long hike was so refreshing.. oh, those those little moments were the best!
In general, this trip was intense, a bit physically demanding, but the more time passes, the more we appreciate and like the experience.
Great Kangeroo island is gorgeous and you can see a lot of animals like koala's, Kangaroo's, echidna, dolphins and whales. The first two days of the tour were really nice. Lovely to meet star the kangeroo at the emu ridge. The last day was a bit messy and needs to be reorganized, felt like just filling time. The 7.30 ferry is also a bit too late. I feel like the kangeroo island wildlife park needs to be part of the program because it is a highlight, would have loved to go. Tour guides were great and fun, loved the evening camp!! Evening meals were amazing.
The only way to see this part of Australia. This trip surpassed my expectations. The walks in the Flinders Ranges, Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluru were enchanting and the views were breath-taking. It was also my first time sleeping in a swag under the stars and I loved it! This tour is solo-friendly as you are travelling with like-minded folk and Jack, our guide, was a natural at making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Our group was well looked after by him whether that be in the variety of food and meals, the time taken to answer our questions and the numerous toilet stops! Jack has the right combination of fun and attentiveness. He has an engaging way of sharing his knowledge of Aboriginal culture and stories which set the scene for our walks beautifully.
This tour delivers a bucket list of memories at a comfortable and chilled pace. I had the best time and would highly recommend this tour.
Camping on Kangaroo Island is good fun Eli was our guide and did a great job of ensuring we were well taken care of. He knew the area well and was enthusiastic. The views were great. The kangaroos and seals and sea lions were fun to see. Accommodations were rustic, sleeping in swags, which were perfect for the setting. Warm showers, toilets and good sized meals were included. Great friends made as well.
Swags, stars, hikes, culture, adventure. This trip was spectacular. Jack, our guide was amazing and created the most inclusive atmosphere. Highly recommend! From swag camping under the stars in Ikara Flinders Ranges, to the oddities of the Outback desert, the magnificent Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta and Uluru, this trip is a delight. Jack has a great respect for Aboriginal culture and stories, a respect for the land, a knowledge of geology and gives 110% to make sure his guests experience the magic and rawness of the Aussie outback and country in all its glory.
SA Camping Adventure Untamed Escapes you privided a fabulous a fabulous trip exploring the Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound, Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln. We camped under the stars in swags, travelled in a coaster bus driven by our fabulous guide Carlos and he was also our chef; providing home cooked meals! Thanks for a great trip!
More than just a trip, it was an experience of a lifetime. Excellent, I never would have seen all the interesting places along the way.Great tour coordinator/chef/driver. Haven't eaten so well in years. Great guy.
I was 50 and made to feel welcome amongst people of all ages.
Bring a spare batteries for your camera.
