After meeting at PHDC (to hand out your purchased food packs or small hire equipment) and loading up ready with your overnight gear, we kick off our 2 days on the Bibbulmun Track by hiking for a gentle 2.7km through the beautiful mixed jarrah forest. Arriving at Ball Creek campsite, your guides will run through camp etiquette and give you a brief orientation before providing you with some guidance on tent site selection and set up.
With camp all set, it is time to lean some bushcraft skills, and forage for firewood. Late afternoon we will get out the stoves and you will cook yourselves some dinner, and with the help of your handy OTBT Guide, we’ll build a crackling campfire (weather permitting) for everyone to relax and enjoy the mesmerizing flames and warmth. Then it’s time for a short but fun night hike, until it’s time to retire to our tents and enjoy a night’s rest serenaded by the chorus of the forest.

After waking up to the beauty of the forest you will fuel up on breakfast before we depart for our hike along the Bibbulmun Track to Manns Gully. Awakening Awesome day out Awakening Jarrahdale Trails. OTBT really commects hikers to nature in the very best possible way.
Wellness Wander through the forest A very inclusive family hike that included excellent local knowledge and lovely attentive tour guides. An excellent an yummy morning tea with a variety of sweet, savoury and fresh fruit.
WA cape to cape hike tour highlights WA Cape to cape highlights tour was such a nice and refreshing track to hike with a group of people, we did 24 km in total, almost had the whole track for ourselves ( if you don’t count the kangaroos) having the whole trip organised from pick up to been driven to the tracks, food places and drop offs was great as I could really switch off, enjoy the ride and immerse myself in the whole experience wholeheartedly .it was meditative 🌈🐋🌸🥰🤩😴❤️ OTBT WA took care of the rest for us .logistics, checking, bookings, safety measures, first aids, permits, road closures, fuel, meals, hiking poles, sugar snacks, packed lunches, and so on, so was reeeeeeeeeally nice to just pack my bags, wear my boots and get picked up by OTBT bus tour. The experienced and passionate guides from OTBT WA ( ours lead guide was Kym 💙) will tell you all about the magical terrain, plant species, wild flowers, animals, insects, trees and all sorts and made sure everyone was having good times and hike at reasonable pace to suit the group .they cater for all abilities and run inclusive hikes , just ask them ..the range of weather conditions that you get in one day makes it all that much more exciting even in autumn 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈☁️🌥️⛅️🌦️🌤️☀️ .so prepared to be amazed with sights of ancient granites and rocky headlands, even some majestic Karri trees, and spot jumping kangaroos, spider webs, wild flowers, birds and fairy wrens along the way .plenty of photo opportunities and stops to listen to the sound of the waves building up from the distance and crushing on the coast and rocks 🪨 🌊 stare in the distance of the Indian Ocean for whale spouts and watch the next bunch of rainy clouds 🌧️ approaching so have your raincoats handy, if you’re lucky enough you may even get to see if Margaret river has risen enough to join the ocean .. absolutely loved every bit of it, the accommodation at Margaret river was the best , so comfy and roomy loved the aspect of sleeping with access to fresh air and balcony with all the facilities, a warm bath at the end of the day and close access to the beach and the playgrounds , the company of people was great, the food and service was superb, was a treat to get a break from cooking , my 14 year old described it as “This is heaven” OTBT guides are good cooks too, the falafel wrap was really yummy and fresh 🌯🤤 we lost count of rainbows that we saw along the way, it was really magical. Happy we did it in May. Thank you again OTBT WA team for organising another beautiful getaway hiking tour for us. But be warned you will be on cloud nine daydreaming for the next couple of days after your return, until eventually you come back to earth and plan your next get away trip 🌸🥾✨ We will be back for more uplifting hikes in the future😊
Forrest Train, Hike and Pizza Well organised hike and other activities. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Magical night Sunset and Stargazing tour. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. A magical sunset from the top of Mt Vincent, delicious snacks and vanilla chai, followed by a tour of the night sky by astronomer Matt. All the guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. A lovely way to spend a Saturday night out in nature. Would highly recommend.
Endurance hike for 60+ year old with only moderate level of fitness I would never consider myself as an ‘endurance’ hiker but I wanted to see where I was at before taking on a multi day hike in a few months, so joined the Bibbulum track endurance hike - Mundaring to Helena. I was so nervous but the guides could not have been more kind, knowledgeable and supportive. They encouraged but didn’t push and I felt such a great sense of accomplishment at the end. I would highly recommend an Off the Beaten Track endurance hike for anyone who at least has some level of fitness but not necessarily super fit.
3000 mile WA Road Trip I planned this road trip in February 2025, booking the flights with Qantas, Motothome rental with THL and all the stop offs through Booking.com. Our heathrow to Perth hop was pretty good, but one of the Quantas flight crew thought we were drunk and refused to give us any more small bottles of wine. We had only had 3 each over 10hrs! Hotel in Perth was good and we spent 4 days getting over jet lag. A visit to Rotness Is is a must. Freemantle is also a great place to visit. Our Motorhome pickup did not go well, the van was not ready at 0900 and we were fobbed off for two and a half hours with what they called a technical problem. Eventually they said the MH needed a change of tyres, well as they knew we would be travelling approx 3000 miles and had since Feb 2025 to sort this, we were not impressed with THL. Then when we had done our shopping and loaded the fridge with food etc, the flimsy shelves in the fridge collapsed. Another black mark to THL. The van was not clean the toilet cassette area had not been throughly cleaned and we took plenty of photos to show the rep for when we dropped off the MH. THL were not in the least bit concerned and we have never heard from them, AVOID this company. I would suggest that you research each of the sites to ensure they have a pool, I did not and was pretty disappointed when we arrived at some of our stop offs only to find NO POOL. We were travelling from Perth to Broome and most Auzzies are going the other way to avoid the heat and humidity. Crazy Brits eh? Another black mark to THL, at one time we had a problem with the van but in the middle of the outback the phone number they gave us was useless. Make sure you always fill up with fuel at every opportunity especially if you are going long distances like us. We only almost ran out of fuel once! Our hotel in Broome was exceptional, strangely enough we were 3 guests in two rooms and most of the hotel was empty. Broome is a wonderful place and everyone is so happy to live there. Looking at doing Southern Australia next, we will not be using THL this time.
Fabulous walk for seniors SCENIC STROLL- ROBIN RAMBLE WALK BUDGENDORE PARK What an amazing stroll for seniors with the expertise of our fabulous OTBT guide, Kym! The pace was leisurely for us seniors, and the knowledge of wildflowers, trees, fauna and other flora by the guide was fabulous! But best of all was the scrumptious morning tea supplied and the conversations with other guests whom I did not know until that walk.
Ash kept us highly entertained with his comments and jokes!!!
I would highly recommend 'Off The Beaten Track', especially Ash as your guide.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Unforgettable Sunset Yoga Hike with Off The Beaten Track WA What an incredible experience! The Sunset Yoga Hike with Off The Beaten Track WA was the perfect blend of nature, movement, and mindfulness – and it wouldn’t have been the same without our amazing guide, Mike. From the very beginning, Mike made everyone feel welcome and at ease. His passion for the outdoors, knowledge of the local area, and calm, friendly nature really set the tone for the entire experience. The hike itself was stunning, with beautiful views, peaceful bushland, and just the right level of challenge.
When we reached the summit, we were greeted with jaw-dropping views and a sunset that painted the entire sky in shades of pink, orange, and gold. It was the perfect setting for our yoga session.
The yoga practice was gentle and grounding, guided by a wonderful instructor who created a space where everyone – no matter their skill level – could relax and connect. Doing yoga as the sun dipped below the horizon was something truly special.
Huge thanks to Mike and the OTBT team for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful. Can’t wait to book my next adventure with you!

Overnight hike with Mt Cuthbert and Mt Vincent Had a really nice overnight hike with OTBT (another!) went to Aly Wa Miya group with guides Ash and Elaine. So many benefits mentally physically emotionally……… Such a great way to meet new people in our own Big beautiful backyard!
Absolutely recommend
Wet & wild Serpentine Extreme 24km, what a challenge with Mother Nature but the OTBT guides Kirsten & Rossdy were the powerhouse duo encouraging to the end. Excellent training for a multi day hike.
Rocky pool walk Right from the start, a perfect morning. The rain had stopped, the water droplets were hanging off the bush, and the sunlight had turned them into crystal chandeliers. The people turned up, and off we went. It was fabulous; we even had morning tea, amazing, very diverse group of people, lots of stimulating and interesting conversation. Very well organised.
BICKLEY VALLEY TRAIL Excellent trail leaders! Funny AND knowledgeable! Morning tea was yummy and the hike went at a comfortable pace. Highly recommended.
Great 4 peak hike Another great hike with amazing caring supportive guides exploring experiencing nature with impressive views in fresh air.
Serpentine Sunset Soirée We had a great time. My friend and I joined the guided Anji and Laura for the Serpentine Sunset Soirée hike. We started before sunset hiking to a beautiful look out point in time for sunset and were treated to a glass of fizz and platter to enjoy. We learnt lots about the local area on the way thanks to their great knowledge and spent a lot of time laughing. Would definitely join again and had a great time!
OFF THE BEATEN TRACK, led by Tracy and with wonderful help from Sarah and Anne Marie.
Every part of the walk was explained and advice was given.
The break in the middle was welcome, with tea and refreshments and a lovely platter of biscuits and cheeses and strawberries and other items.
Thank you for supplying the walking poles to me as a newby.
I thoroughly enjoyed the walk as a 77 year old senior.

As always, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Our guides (Mikey and Kym) were outstanding – knowledgeable, supportive, and full of good humour – which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. We had plenty of laughs along the way, were treated to gourmet food, and even enjoyed some wine tasting on the journey back.
Everything was so well organised and thoughtfully planned. I always feel looked after and inspired on these trips.
Can’t wait to join OTBT for more adventures in the future!
Exhale in the Perth Hills Off the Beaten Track's latest tour offering is an opportunity to not only experience a small section of the Bibbulmun Track, but also incorporates 'breathing work' and pilates sessions. The early morning start brings a sense of serenity and satisfaction as the sun rises across the Perth Hills. It's akin to lying on a granite boulder like a lizard, serenaded by beautiful birdsong, a gentle breeze moving through the gumtrees and the warmth of morning kisses from the sun, reenergising the body and soul. An EV charger for humans! What an amazing way to start a Sunday morning. Highly recommend.
Revive and Thrive - best way to start the day! I joined the Revive and Thrive hike with breath work and pilates in Mundaring and WOW! What an incredible way to start the day! The scenery was gorgeous, and the breath work and pilates were really invigorating. I learned some great breathing techniques I can use day to day. Our host Sarah was knowledgeable, friendly and professional and set the tone for the day beautifully!
Xmas night hike fantastic organisation, really well organised and executed event, food was excellent, entertainment was spot on and the venue was excellent. I love that the staff get involved as part of the crew instead of just being the figureheads
Christmas hike This was my first hike with OTBT- was an amazing experience.Super fun and friendly.- will definitely be signing up for more adventures.
Off The Beaten Track - Hike and Paddle Lots of fun, well organised and Kym was a great guide. Even though we had a last minute change (due to no fault of OTBT) it was handled without issue and with lots of positivity. The food was also really nice. I would totally recommend.
Western Australia Adventure Of A Lifetime We needed assistance with customizing a highly personalized itinerary for a bucket list visit to Western Australia. OTBT was there for us every step of the way and then some. Our interests included outdoor hiking activities, with visits to celebrated landmark locations and local conservation centres, vineyards, distilleries, farms, apiaries, etc. OTBT recognized and respected our inclinations, working with us to craft a trip that would be genuinely life-changing. They offered thoughtful recommendations that enhanced and elevated our WA travels. Australia is a world way away from many of us, and it takes a lifetime to fully experience everything it has to offer. Don't hesitate to do your research well ahead of your visit and benefit from the insider knowledge/tips that OTBT can share with you. Thank you, Tracy and Sarah!
Exmouth Bucket List Tour I’d never been to Exmouth & saw the bucket list tour - stay at Mantarays, swim with whale sharks, sea kayaking, snorkelling, hikes, sunsets & all the transfers, meals included.I’m not a strong confident swimmer but the partnering tour companies were awesome and supplied life jackets or pool noodles to make me feel comfortable in the deep ocean.
The tours were amazing, the snorkelling surreal and can be summed up as WOW!!! No hesitation in recommending, even if your not a confident swimmer - book it I travelled with my husband who was also impressed and exceeded all expectations
Ningaloo & Cape Range Gourmet Adventure at Off The Beaten Track WA What a trip of a lifetime!! Thanks to Off The Beaten Track for putting together this incredible action packed itinerary! From our first gorgeous sunset views at Vlamingh Lighthouse to our last stunning sunrise from Charles Knife Canyon, this trip was amazing!! The hikes were tough but worth it! Yardie Gorge and Mandu Mandu Gorge!! We got to see wildlife everywhere including Ospreys, bats and black flanked rock wallabies. The stunning Ningaloo reef experiences were even better than I had ever imagined! From sea kayaking, snorkeling, the glass bottom boat trip and the unbelievable Whaleshark experience! We saw whalesharks, turtles, dolphins, dugong, giant clams and so many reef fish! This is a trip I'll never forget. Thanks to our awesome guide Sarah for making this such an unforgettable experience.
Cape Range as you’ve never seen it before 110/100 would be the rating. This tour is for the explorer in you. As a solo traveller new to WA this package was perfect. Tracy is a consummate professional who went above and beyond for us. Although the highlight for me was swimming with whale sharks there were so many exceptional (and delicious) moments.
A great hiking experiences with a well run friendly organisation Lovely crew! Great knowledge! Meeting with lovely people and enjoyed the fantastic view as the group. Will be back for the guided multi days hike next time !
Hiking, food & wine - an awesome trip! Have just come back from 5 days exploring the Walpole & Denmark areas. Hiking each day combined with gourmet food at local restaurants at night, luxurious accommodation including massages & use of their sauna & steam room facilities and amazing tour guides (Mikey & Angie). Would 100% recommend this tour if you like to hike but also enjoy a bit of luxury. Great value for money
Amazing experience This was a great trip, couldn’t fault anything. It was a great way to see the Stirling ranges. Mike and Sarah were great guides and the tour was well organised.
Full Moon Yoga Hike A well organized hike & yoga session with experienced, interested & interesting guides who took the time to ensure all the walkers were doing ok throughout the hike, they were also friendly & knowledgeable. I had a great experience & would definitely recommend.
