Tour overview:
We begin the day with our city loop tour, where we will provide guided commentary as we explore the streets of Hobart and visit its major attractions and landmarks.
Saturdays only – Next, we’ll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market. This world-class market showcases the very best of Tasmanian culture, offering a delightful array of art, local produce, talented buskers, unique souvenirs, refreshing beverages, and much more!
After exploring the market’s offerings for 75 minutes, we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its award winning cool climate wines. Along the way, we will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and an opportunity to purchase some local produce from the farm Gate cafe. Then, we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire Australia’s oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. Additionally, we highly recommend visiting the Drink Tasmania Tasting House, where you can indulge in tastings of the region’s finest wines, whisky, and local produce.
But the real magic of the day comes later, when we visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, you’ll get up close and personal with some of Tasmania and Australia’s most iconic wildlife. It’s a rare opportunity to meet these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, including the cheeky and elusive Tasmanian Devil. You’ll be captivated by their energy and learn about the sanctuary’s important work in conservation. From the friendly kangaroos that love a cuddle to the adorable koalas and curious wombats, Bonorong is an experience that truly connects you with the heart of Tasmania. It’s a chance to create memories with these remarkable animals that you’ll carry with you long after the day ends.

We managed to fit in everything on the schedule as the weather was so good.
But overall great experience and my tour guide Sky was very informative and engaging :)
The food on Bruny is insane! I cannot recommend you try the oysters more highly. Best in the world. The beautiful lagoon we stopped at for a swim was so idyllic and the water was actually way warmer than I expected it to be - don't forget your bathers!
I loved how you could 'choose your own adventure' on the Wineglass Bay tour. I chose to walk down the 1000 steps to the beach and WOW! I'm so glad I did. What a spectacular part of the world. I cannot recommend these tours more highly 😍
A little piece of paradise for sure.
Highly recommend
We booked the full day (10 hour) tour to Bruny Island and it was an amazing experience. The directions for meet up were clear and the driver was on time. The coffee and breakfast options at the ferry were delicious and we enjoyed getting out of the car on the ferry ride over. Every stop was intentional and informative. We walked a lot and had the option to enjoy great food and snacks along the way. Our driver brought us to some amazing beaches and his guidance and humor was top notch. The memories and photos we have of our day will be cherished. Thank you, Andrew, for a great time!
Thumb up to him, and thankfully we have seen some wildlife here in Tasmania.
As well as we do enjoy the history about Australia and Tasmania.
Yeah, we have a good wrap up for our tour with really delicious oysters.
Great plan and heartfully thanks, and appreciate for Nathan's plan.
Best regards, Amy from Singapore.
Beautiful views, good food, wild nature and great talks!
I would highly recommend it
On my day trip, the Tahune air walk was cancelled. The company refunded a portion of our payment for the airwalk, without any prompting from us. I have been cheated by other tour companies before, so I really appreciate this.
Our tour guide (?Juno/Johno/Juneau) was so friendly and kind. I had lost my jacket and it was cold, so he offered me his jackets throughout the day. It's a shame I hesitated asking him to clarify his name 😅.
The rest of the tour, Hasting caves- spectacular and apple pie- great touch to the trip.
Highly recommend Tassie tours in general and this particular tour.
The day was full of information, good humour and activities that lived up to all that was promised.
Our guide Andrew was fantastic — very knowledgeable, relaxed, friendly and always making the tours enjoyable. The car was super comfortable and spotless every day, which made the experience even better.
We did three tours in a row (Bruny Island, Port Arthur, and Hobart Highlights) and all of them were stunning and very smooth. Everyone we dealt with was professional and kind.
Highly recommend Tassie Tours and would definitely book with them again! 🌈✨
Whether it was quirky colonial trivia or insights into Tasmania’s evolving culture, Mark tailored the experience to our group’s interests with impressive finesse. It felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a passionate local friend who genuinely loves this city.
The pacing was perfect, the sites were stunning, and Mark’s commentary added layers of meaning to everything we saw. If you’re looking for a tour that’s both informative and delightfully human, this is it.
Highly recommend booking with Mark—you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Hobart and a smile that lasts well beyond the final stop. We booked via Klook btw
We stopped at the Neck and walked up all the stairs to the lookout but unfortunately the weather closed in on us and we got soaked. We drove around and managed to spot the famous white wallabies. We did a nice little rainforest walk and listened to the birdies. We had a delicious pub lunch at the Bruny Island Hotel / pub (not included). The orders were called in on the way so they were ready for us when we arrived. We stopped at the Lighthouse and most southerly point in the afternoon.
My only suggestion is not to stop at the Bruny Island Chocolate shop as the staff was very rude and the chocolate tasted terrible - we all regretted buying.
The queue for the ferry on the way back was long so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but Bunsie's stories and banging playlist of 60s and 70s classic rock kept us entertained. Bunsie has also seen Neal the Seal in the flesh! We had an excellent day and were back to Hobart by about 5.30pm.
Booked two days before and it was smooth from picking up to dropping off. The Bruny Island tour is recommended!
Lunch spot at the Bruny hotel, food was substantial and tasty! Don't have to worry about your lunch peeps!
Knew their job inside out.
So helpful and understand you as an individual. I would chose this tour company again just because I felt it was important to them that we were looked after.
