The Gentleman Magician’s Magical Soirée, Sydney’s longest running show has a new home amidst the Jazz Age splendour of the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel – one of our city’s most magnificent, historic buildings. 

Every weekend, from Friday 30th May 2025 – the Art Deco elegance of Castlereagh Boutique Hotel will showcase this iconic Sydney experience – hosted by Bruce Glen, The Gentleman Magician. (Our previous venue: Sir Stamford at Circular Quay will soon disappear – to be transformed into private apartments).

Listed at #2 on TripAdvisor – second only to Sydney Opera House – The Gentleman Magician’s Magical Soirée has been beguiling audiences every weekend for over nine
years. It is a “must-see” Sydney event.

You will experience an evening of world class magic and captivating Australian stories (storytelling magic for adults – but not necessarily grown-ups)

Reminiscent of the elegant events of the famous 19th century European ‘salons’, The Gentleman Magician’s Magical Soirée aims to engage and intrigue – but most importantly, to transport you to a place of wonderment.

CHILDREN: Though nothing at our Magical Soirée is inappropriate for children (or adults) it is best enjoyed by AGES 10 AND OVER. Younger children may become restless.
